With a small body and comfortable 24-3/4" scale, The Gibson CJ-165 Maple Acoustic-Electric Guitar is designed to rest comfortably on the knee of even diminutive players, but it gives up nothing in the way of tone. The solid premium Sitka spruce top belts out full-bodied resonance that's sharpened up by the gorgeous AAA maple back and sides. 4-ply top binding, a bound rosewood fretboard with mother-of-pearl split parallelogram inlays, abalone rosette, and mother-of-pearl headstock inlays provide cosmetic beauty. Fishman Aura Pro electronics with tuner ensure great plugged-in tone.

I acquired this guitar in December of 2010 and it immediately became my favorite due to its playability and incredible tone. I wouldn't have believed you could get such a full beautifully balanced sound out of this small of a body. I played it next to an SJ-200, and other than the price tag I couldn't tell the difference - except that this guitar fits me more comfortably (I'm just a little old 5'11" 175lb dude so I don't require a big axe for ballast). Mine is the antique natural finish and it is stunning. The grain, inlays and finish work are perfect. I cannot recommend this guitar highly enough

I Have played this one at my local music store. I wish I would have played it prior to buying my Gibson Hummingbird.I would have chosen this one over the Hummingbird. Very sweet axe.
