The holy grail of guitar collecting!
Every detail of the original is reproduced with obsessive accuracy on the Gibson 1959 Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar. Correct 1959 neck profile is rounded and slightly slimmer than the 1952-1958 necks. The guitar's BurstBucker pickups are exact reproductions of the original "Patent Applied For," pickups that revolutionized electric guitar sound. Even the Gibson bumblebee capacitors are re-created in painstaking detail, as are the original formula and thickness lacquer, and the aluminum stop tailpiece. Holly peghead overlay, extended neck tenon and accurate top carving. This 1959 Les Paul version takes authenticity a step further with aged metal hardware and a dulled lacquer finish.

This guitar is amazing. Once I plugged it in my amplifier, it sounded great. The burstbuckers are awesome, but what I didn't like about it, is that the neck is slimmer than what I'm really used to. I had to give up buying other equpipment to buy this guitar, but it was definitely worth it.
I just started playing and decided to pick this guitar, I have been playing for about 2 months and each day my skills seem to be improving.....The body scratches and chips pretty easily, so beware of that problem....Other than that everything else seems perfect...
The Gibson 59' is the most unique guitar to be made to day. Not only is the craftmanship execellent and to the exeact specs but you can appreciate the beauty when owning this fine instrument. The only thing that disturb me was the Burstbucker 1 & 2 pickups it turned to high they would sound like you were playing reverb through your amp. To fix this problem I purchased the 57 classic for the neck and the 57 classic plus for the bridge in order to give it that true 59 sound. I own an original 59 Les Paul with the original PAF humberbuckers they both sound the same now. YEA Baby sweet 59
I have bought this beautiful guitar recently, and I love it. It has great pickups, nice tone and sustain, it sounds great for leads and solos, and the best part, It's affordable. I recently used it in our music video, "Some Kind of Monster." I love it, I would recommend no other
great guitar, awesome sound, but come on gibson there is no reason this guitar should cost this much. They need to get off their high horse.
