I have owned this beautiful guitar since April and it is my #1 fiddle. Gorgeous Tri-Burst over AAA flamed maple top and gold hardware. Sweet Gibson magic from the '57 classic pickups. My only issue is that the stock ABR-1 is a total loss. Loose saddles and retaining wire rattle kinda killed it, but after I fixed that I had sustain for days and could throw the guitar off of a building and the intonation would stay rock solid. I would expect this guitar to be a little more expensive so I was pleased with the price tag. It's an awesome guitar overall and I will buy another.

Ok, first of all, im a hugh gibson fan, and own an original 1970's les paul, and a fire bird which i both love! but this guitar is utter rubbish, what happend with you guys at gibson, because this guitar is not at the standard of craftmanship of the original '68 or'70's models. Its hard to play, inntonation, to say its a custom is really bad. The pick ups are the only good thing, but everything else is terrible. Buy an epiphone for a fraction of the price and you'll have a better guitar! Thumbs down!!

Les Paul of the gods

I have played many les pauls over the years and by far this one is my favorite. Nothing I have played is as smooth, and as tonal as this les paul. It is an excellent addition to anyone's arsenal of guitars.

Beauty + Craftmanship = Gibson

Excellent Guitar, after having it set-up for forty dollars and replacing a cracked pick-up ring on the treble position. The guitar is playing great. Excellent tone and sustain, Beautiful Figured top and the binding and finish is awesome!! Great for all types of music from jazz to shred metal.

Great guitar.

We have an original '68 LP Custom at the church I go to, and I've been privileged to play it on more than one occasion. This guitar is amazing, from the classic paint job, to the awesome tone and sound. Sure it's heavy, but that's a small price to pay for such a guitar as this.

A great guitar with that classic sound. Heavy yes but that's what makes it sound so good.

WRONG

By John the Conquorer

from Cary, IL

I *HAVE* an original 1968 Gibson Les Paul Custom, and let me tell you, this re-issue is WRONG. First of all, the plastic is not black! It's cream! The pickups are not gold-plated '57s! They're black open-coils! And finally, the finish is plain, NOT flamed! Don't get me wrong, this is a wonderful guitar, but to say this is an authentic reissue is a total lie.
