I'm 16 years old and have been playing guitar for about 11 years now. I recently got this beautiful piece of art and haven't been able to put in down. The tone is to die for, the sustain is endless, and the playability is flawless.I play just about every type of music and every genre sounds excellent through this guitar. When you hold this instrument, it feels different than holding any other guitar.I highly recommend at least playing one of these beauties before you die!
I got the guitar not that long ago and I think I am in love. It is the best guitar you and get I think. I don't know why people get epiphone when they can get the real thing, so if I had a say in what guitar you should buy I would tell you to get this one.
My wife surprised me with a 57 Custom Shop Les Paul Custom for Christmas 07 .I've had it for just a few weeks but I can't put it down.It plays soooo sweet.Sustain is awesome. The neck plays like butter. It rocks and it also plays sweet and smooth. It's worth every penny .
Wow! This guitar is great. It has sustain that just goes on forever. When plugged into a Marshall, great Les Paul roar! The only problem is the pickups' output isn't high enough. Other than that, it's well worth the money if you have it. And oh yeah,it's also one of the snappiest looking guitars that I've ever seen!
i love this guitar i own one and it rocks in every genre from your soft alternative easy listening jazz influences, to your hard metal classic rock death goth stuff. i really love this guitar almost as much as i love my girl. so anyone who doesn have one should get one it kicks major a**
I've had mine for about about 10 years or so (and I bought it new). Now, I've owned and played many gibsons such as an ES-175, ES-340, Lucille, SG-62 Reissue (*not* the '61 reissue) and other not-so-memorable instruments, but the one that I've managed to stay with is this Custom Shop LP. I learned early in life how to set up my own electric guitars and choose a string set that suits me-- therefore, I use .10-.46 exclusively and like my action a little on the stiff side. Being able to put the personal care into maintaining this instrument has rewarded me more and more so to this day. If you ever have a chance to buy into one of these-- make it for the long haul because this guitar really can bring something out of you! Also, once, I was out of town and my basement flooded for about a week and this LP took on some water while left unattended-- I still to this day have not seen any damage that could be resultant of that little incident. This guitar just gets better with time (as all of my nice gibsons have).
I've had this guitar for a couple years now. I love it to death other than a couple of things. For one, it's too heavy for long live sets unless you're gonna stand still. And two, I'm having a hard time with heavy distortion. Part of this could be my effects, but I can't get that muddy distortion and feedback that I want for pop punk. But when it comes to clean, chorus, lead, and anything else, this guitar is absolutely perfect.
I finaly had enough money to buy this guitar and when I bought it it #%$*ing awesome> I own a couple of LP's but not one of them even comes close to this one. Its worth every penny. Please do me a favor, go to guitar center and buy this guitar. You'll be blown away.
