A moment in history re-created and ready to make history of its own!

Lee's 1959 ES-335 sported a faster '60s block inlay neck and an added pickup in the center position. When he cranked out the scorching solo to "Going Home" at Woodstock, his iconic axe became preserved for all time on celluloid. Here it is in the flesh, reproduced with utmost precision right down to the cool stickers aged onto the finish.

A hot-rodded axe!

This is one of the best custom axes you can buy. The sound just blows you away and it is almost identical to Alvin Lee's original Woodstock mean machine. The aging effects with the stickers, etc. are executed superbly and are real artistry, and it appears as if this guitar has been in use for quite some time. The action and setup are excellent as expected for a custom shop unit, and this axe plays really easy as the neck is fast. It's a little pricey though, otherwise it would deserve 10 stars all the way. And aside from the Custom Shop hardshell case with burgundy velvet inside, it comes with a Certificate of Authenticty and lots of little extras like polishing cloth, cable, picks, etc. -- and some sawdust. Since there are only 50 around in this special limited edition, it will probably become a hot collector's item within a short time.
