For the price I paid I expect real quality!Everything on the guitar is terriffic but it just will not intone properly on the G string. I have had 5 different shops attempt to set it up but to no avail. So I'm now sending it back to Gibson to let them repair or replace it
This guitar is the end for me. I will never need another Les Paul Custom while I have this. Simply said, it is the best built, best sounding instrument I own. Period. Buy it to keep it! Not for fun or to collect. These live for players!
I recently bought this baby a few months back and I can't stop looking at it (or playing it)! I get compliments from everyone. The sound just blasts me away (IMHO, better than the LP Standard I tested). I've made several beautiful recordings playing this through my Fender Blues DeVille and I can't believe the incredible clarity and harmonics the pickups have.My only complaints are that one of the tuners must be loose or something, since that string is always going out of tune (I expected no less than perfection from Gibson). The other is that the neck pickup output is far too low and the guitar needs to be set up properly (intonation, etc.) I am surprised it came from the factory like this.
The customs are the best on the sound quality and on the resale. THE BEST!!
