When it first hit the street, the SG Standard with its thin, 2-horned body addressed 2 major issues of the Les Paul: weight and upper fretboard access. The SG was dramatically lighter and offered open access to the high frets. Rockers loved it, and it has remained a popular model over the years since. This reissue is true to the original in every way and its faded cherry finish gives it an especially authentic look.

The SG is a wonderful guitar, I happen to have one myself. I love the tone, it's the guitar I learned on, and I would never trade an SG for the world. I'd have to say the SG is the best guitar I've ever had the pleasure of owning.
