An exciting limited-edition signature model with viscerating tone and looks to die for!

To honor the achievements of Slash Gibson introduces the Slash Appetite Les Paul VOS (Vintage Original Spec). The guitar is equipped with the finest features of the original Les Paul Standards of 1958-'60. And Gibson adds the punch of Seymour Duncan Signature Series Alnico II Pro Slash humbucking pickups.

The Slash Appetite Les Paul is as prime a piece of eye candy as it is ear candy. Gibson gives it looks to kill with a Grade AAA figured maple top, nitrocellulose "Unburst" finish, amber top-hat knobs, rosewood fingerboard with traditional trapezoid inlays, and Slash headstock graphic. The TonePros Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece at one end and a high-density Corian nut at the other give the Slash Les Paul enhanced resonance.

From his groundbreaking work with Guns N' Roses, to Slash's Snakepit, to Velvet Revolver and numerous acclaimed solo and side projects, Slash has continued to embody the ultimate rebel rocker, putting addictive licks and eviscerating tone above all else, and throughout he has continued to do it on a Les Paul.

The Slash signature Les Paul's playability, naturally, is flawless, thanks to a solid one-piece Grade A quartersawn mahogany neck with Slash's preferred slim '60s profile, and the 12" fingerboard radius and 22 jumbo frets that have made Les Pauls notorious for big, meaty rock bends for more the past 50 years. All Slash Appetite Les Pauls come with plush-lined hardshell case with silkscreened Slash graphic.

    Body and Finish
Crafted from a Grade AAA maple top and weight-relieved mahogany body, the Slash Appetite Les Paul is finished in nitrocellulose lacquer that replicates a beautifully faded vintage Les Paul Standard. The maple-mahogany combination and thin nitro finish help to bring the most out of these guitars, both tonally and visually.

    Neck and Headstock
The guitar's neck and headstock are made in the classic tradition of the original 1958-'60 Les Pauls. Carved from a single piece of quartersawn mahogany, and topped with a rosewood fingerboard, the design incorporates Gibson's lauded 17-degree back-angled headstock, which contributes greatly to the instrument's resonance and sustain. Slash signature smoking skull with top hat artwork adorn the peghead face

    Pickups and Electronics
To Slash's own specifications, the Slash Appetite Les Paul carries a set of Seymour Duncan Signature Series Open-coil Alnico II Pro Slash humbucking pickups, which are made in the image of the original Gibson PAF humbucking pickups. Slash also selected special capacitors to create the vintage Les Paul sound he demands From a rich, throaty wail at the neck position to a muscular, eviscerating roar at the bridge, these pickups offer all the tonal versatility that has made the Les Paul Standard famous. Their full splendor is transmitted via a Switchcraft selector switch, high-quality potentiometers with Orange Drop tone caps, and a robust Switchcraft output jack.

    Hardware
In the image of the great Les Paul Standards of the 1958-'60 the Slash Appetite Les Paul wears a classic set of hardware, all enhanced for the tonal standards Slash demands. A TonePros Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece offer uncompromising resonant coupling between strings and body, while a set of Kluson-style tuners combines an authentic vintage look with efficient modern
    performance.

    Finish
All VOS (Vintage Original Spec) series guitars use a proprietary process that includes unique steps for staining, wet-sanding, and hand-rubbing; subsequently the guitars reflect what a well-cared for 40-year-old guitar looks like. The result is a remarkable patina that will delight even the most discriminating enthusiast.

Finally the an accurate repro of the AFD Les Paul

    By Guitar Freak-qzTBo

    from Mexico City

Gentlemen, please put accurate descriptions and pictures for your products. The description you give in your website is not the one for the VOS but for the USA, bellow please find the description for the VOS AFD.This is a great guitar with thick strong in-your face tone. The top may vary so I suggest you shop around until you find one that resembles the original as close as possible. The sustain is really amazing, one of the greatest sounding les pauls I've ever owned. The neck is not for everyone as it is a bifier neck between a 59 and 60 Les Paul, but that also means much more tone. Finish and overall quality are all custom shop, really great and the AFD Vinyl reproduction accompanying the straplocks and COA are a very nice touch. If you like Slash and like me are in search for the ultimate Les Paul or tone machine, do yourself a favor a get yourself one. I think they nailed it far better in this one than with the USA, specially the Top, but the overall feel of the guitar screams high end, it's just a top instrument, also the USA has inacuracies such as the lack of the ABR-1 bridge which the original and VOS have.By the way, the price IS fair considering it's a 1959-60 VOS reissue with Slash's specs, just check the $ on those and you'll know it's fair. Yes, not everyone can afford one, but it has nothing to do with the artist, I mean, not everyone can afford a Porsche either.Includes: Custom Shop Case Silk-Screened with Slash?s Signature, Certificate of Authenticity, and 180MG Appetite for Destruction Vinyl Re-PrintWorking hard to record Guns N? Roses? 1987 debut, Appetite for Destruction, Slash was experiencing nothing but frustration trying to achieve the tones he was seeking with a range of contemporary electric guitars he was using. Then someone handed him a reissue-style Les Paul Standard, and that was all she wrote. With this legendary rock machine in hand, Slash laid down the deadliest rock riffs of the decade?propelling songs like ?Paradise City?, ?Sweet Child O? Mine?, and ?Welcome to the Jungle??and fired up the biggest-selling debut album of all time in the process. Slash has been a devoted Les Paul player ever since, throughout his years with Guns N? Roses and later with Slash?s Snakepit and Velvet Revolver. He has taken a number of Gibson Signature models on the road, and owned and recorded with near-priceless vintage late ?50s ?Bursts.Gibson Custom Shop and Slash are proud to bring you the "Appetite for Destruction" Les Paul.
