A lefty version of one of the world's greatest guitars.
The Gibson ES-335 Dot Left-Handed Electric Guitar with Satin Finish features laminated maple top, sides, and back come together with a set mahogany neck and solid center block to produce an open tone that's sparkling when distorted, rich and airy for rhythm playing, and extremely substantial for jazz tones. Of course the '57 Classic humbuckers have a lot to do with that great tone, and the light satin finish seems to let the top vibrate more freely. The ES-335 guitar's rosewood fretboard encases the fret ends for an incomparably smooth feel.

I own several guitars including a Gibson Les Paul,and a Fender Strat.Very hard to get here in Oz(lefty's). I would love to be the owner of a 335 but it must be vanity, I want it in a vintage natural finish as a choice of finishes is very limited. The only alternative is to get one and have it stripped.Costly so I'm told. Help is needed.

Ok..all I can say is: everyone should own an ES335 at least once in their lifetime in order to understand how versatile this guitar is.
I was actually on the hunt for a lefty archtop guitar before finding a gloss figured top lefty 335 in one of my local store. Those guitars are not cheap, but after trying it out, I knew what I am paying for. It is a top quality guitar that will serve you for life. It also has a great re sale value in case you have to let it go, but why would you? I fell in love with the tone so much that I let go of three other fine guitars in order to finance my new "acquisition". I use it for straight ahead jazz and some Funk/R&B type of playing.
It does not look like I am going to need another guitar soon, although I did think that I need a big box for my drum-less gigs, so I can comp a Freddy Green style with it. But guess what-this guitar could even cover that end as well, as long as you are using a low gage bright strings on it.
I did own some fine lefty guitars before, but this one is on a league of her own. If you see a lefty 335-snatch it!
