Basses and trebles could be better balanced, IMO, for a guitar of this quality.

I was extremely disappointed when I received my Gibson Pro The finish on the guitar looked like dark brown paint, you could not even see the wood grain. The clearcoat had what looked like machined swirls throughout the finish. Thought about swapping the guitar because I love the sound, but could not get past the quality issue. If Gibson would let that guitar out of it's facility, I wondered what other quality issues it might have. Musician's Friend handled the return very well, with no hassles. Thanks for that!

This guitar followed me home. The more I play her, the better I like it. After about 15 minutes of playing, it was inevitable -- we were bonded. I upgraded the electronics to a Fishman Rare Earth Pro. Which works better for strumming than the under saddle pickup in my opinion. (I like the LR Baggs M1A better.) Using a dbx 15 band equalizer I found the plugged-in sound I wanted. In short, she sings wonderfully unplugged and nice through the PA system. All the wonderful sound of a fully dressed hummingbird in an instrument that can be used daily. I would feel uncomfortable putting many hours on the collector's version.

I bought this online from MF and this really could be; "the only acoustic you will ever need". Rich full sound. Booming base with beautiful sweet bright treble. Tons of projection. The build quality is first class all the way. Chunkier neck with a wide nut that is very comfortable to play. And yes, the woody smell of this guitar says: "come hold and play me". The action out of the box is perfectly playable but after a professional set-up and a new set of Gibson 11 phosphor bronze strings she soars. With a thin nitro finish this guitar is just going to get better and better with the years. Beautiful strummer, maybe not so much a picker like a Martin, but if you have always wanted a real Gibson and or a dreadnought IMHO you simply cannot go wrong with this guitar!

I purchased this guitar from Musician's Friend used. The guitar is superb in every aspect for being used! The playability is fantastic for my tastes. Some people have stated the action is too high, but I am fine with it as it is. I can't even tell I am playing it half the time, it's like running my fingers over silk! The construction is fantastic! It smells woodsy, and looks great! The L.R. Bags pickup works great! What more can I say, It's a Gibson, buy it if your in the market!

I played a handful of guitars at the big box shop in town and couldn't find the right sound and feel for me. Standing on my tippie toes I pulled a hummingbird pro off the upper rack and immediately could feel the difference in quality. After playing for about 5 minutes, I knew I would own this guitar. It was delivered today from this company and I was sceptical at first after dropping some dough. I played for about an hour and fell in love with it again. I love the wide neck, deep sound, and beautiful finish. It's a really light guitar. The electronics were spot on through my little harmony amp. The action out of the box is too high for me, but playable. It also smells like a humidor, but I have no problem with that. Over all I'm very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend this guitar. Cheers.

Purchased from the guitar giant house we all go to. Hanging on the wall with no scratches, surprise! So the set up was VERY high and I was worried the nut and saddle would need to be lowered so much that there would not be enough left. My luthier did a fine job and it plays like silk. The big E is not quite loud enough. Maybe it is the Elixer custom lights I had it set up with but probably not. All that aside, I LOVE it, great woodsy odor you can smell from 3 feet away. Plugged in it sounds very nice. The finish is top notch.
