Made to look and sound like a piece of British Invasion history.
From the orange label inside to the P-90 pickup and all-solid wood construction, the J-160E offers an amazing update to Harrison’s 1961 classic. Constructed of solid Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides, this limited run guitar (only 75 were made) comes with a standard rosewood bridge, two-piece mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays. Other appointments include a Vintage Sunburst finish, white bridge pins with black dots, vintage nickel Gotoh Keystone tuners, jumbo frets, tortoise shell pickguard and a bone nut and saddle.
An ideal guitar for fans of the softer side of the "dark horse". Order today!

Comments about Gibson J-160E 1961 Special Edition Acoustic Electric Guitar:
I have wanted a Gibson J160e for years. I have owned the Epiphone EJ160e for 12 years. It is a great guitar, but it is not the real deal. I have read so many reviews about the Beatle J160e with its laminated top and ladder bracing being a very lousy acoustic guitar. This one has the look of the Beatles guitar with its period correct burst but has a solid top and x bracing. It is the best of both worlds. It is strung with Gibson acoustic strings. I will try TI flat wounds at some point and plug in to my Vox AC30. It does have the correct pickup, the P90, as opposed to the P100 in the J160e Standard. A brief plugin reflects quite a bit of hum, but I don't plan on playing it out. Craftsmanship is great! Sound is incredible. Joe Lepinski of Musicians Friend was very helpful in getting me the information I needed to make my purchasing decision. Very professional. Thank you, Joe! I am very satisfied!
