When I saw these issued, I bought one right away. The custom-classic combines the great features of the Les Paul. The silverburst finish is excellent...the photos don't do it justice. The pick-ups are amazing. I put schaller strap-locks on it and put in in my line-up. If you're considering a Les Paul standard, buy a custom-classic instead. The up-graded tuners alone are worth it.
I've been playing for 35 years and this ax has been worth the wait. Thank you Gibson. Action -Tone -classic clean sound. The silverburst is a true one of a kind machine. I am going to make this my #1 Blues Tool.
I was glad to see Gibson released this guitar; I have been wanting not only another Les Paul but a Silverburst one.Tone is better than my ?04 Standard and as good as any Les Paul I have played, this one is chambered which weighs in at 8 lbs. The neck is very fast and the '57 pickups are the best for any Les Paul. Simply a great playing guitar with vintage Les Paul tone.I was a bit skeptical about how the quality would be, but this one came flawless. The pictures do not do the finish justice and under stage lights this guitar is looks amazing. Bottom line is the quality and tones are both excellent, so much so I sold my ?04 Standard to keep this. It will not fade like older examples of Silverburst Les Pauls. To me it was worth every penny, I love this guitar. I did upgrade the stock pots as I do on all my guitars with a RS Guitar works kit, this gives you more tone control from the guitar.
This is the Les Paul Iv'e been waiting to own. I bought it a month ago, raced home, set it up to the lowest possible action and I haven't been able to keep my hands off it since. This guitarjust plays absolutely beautiful.Iv'e been playing for 40-yrs and have had many guitars. I strongly believe that there are only three guitars you actualy need to own if you are a semi-pro player in a succewssful band today.1)Les Paul, 2)Fender Strat, 3)Ibanez RG series.I own all three and will not use anything else!!
Best guitar ever. Amazing tone, unlike any other I've heard. Amazing feel and action. I played a few different '59 VOS in comparison, and this one smoked it. The price is a bargain, when compared to a '59 VOS, which IMO is the only other Les Paul to buy. There is so much detail to the sound produced, every single bit of your expression is pronounced properly - if you don't have tone in your fingers, this guitar will let you know, but also acts as a tool to develop it. I actually had to take out a gain stage from my set-up because there is just so much clear power from this guitar. Great for metal, jazz, blues, funk, country, fusion, rock, you name it. You can really dial in any usable tone for any kind of music. Your amp will act in a way that you have never heard before, even a low-end one. It is so perfect for me, I may never buy another guitar ever in my life, Thanks Gibson!!!
I have played hundreds of guitars through out my life as a musician, and no guitar has played, or sounded, as good as the Gibson Les Paul Classic Custom Silverburst. It has a very rich tone, and the pickups are completely hum-free and provide lots of sustain in my sound, which is generally clean. The guitar stays in tune all the time in the periods I've spent with it. Overall, the guitar is a very well-crafted instrument, and is worth every penny... that is, if you have any money.
I got it about 2-3 months ago. It has an amazing tone, it works for all music. I also play ti for my youth group, and it sounds amazing. I strongly suggest buying this guitar, you will not be disappointed. The only down side is, all my friends hate me b/c I own 1 lol. Go buy 1
I have been playing for about 7 years, ive owned a fender strat, fender tele, schecter c1-elite, esp delux...and boy this guitar beats them all, i just bought it 2 weeks ago and i have been in love ever since, amazing tone for any type of music, it creates such a powerful sound and it is just a dream come true : )
