Because it was a Gibson, I picked this gem up on MF stupid deal of the day. Although it proclaims itself as a Les Paul, it is not quite the same as what you would expect. It is light, does not contain the robust character and sound that a $3k or $4k Les Paul would have. So do not expect that. But on the other hand, and for what I paid for it, this guitar is a ton of fun to play. Great action, response, clarity, and extremely easy to play. The wood grain is finish is beautiful, and the neck is exactly what you would expect.
I was under the impression that Gibson was to begin only focusing on the more expensive models from here on out, and to let Epiphone take over lower priced guitars. But in regards to this one, it seems as if they have met in the middle somewhere.
Also, I might add that my brother owns an SG and this guitar basically plays and mimics it's tone and weight. I own a firebird and an explorer, both of which are heavier and seem to contain more of a tone variance.
But if you are looking for the feel of a Gibson, this guitar is all of that. I own 15 guitars now, so I needed another like air need another hole in my head, but I'm glad I bought it.

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Special T Burstbucker Pro Electric Guitar:

This is the loudest unplugged electric guitar I own. It's extremely resonant. I have no idea where that comes from. It really is amazing though. Since there's no maple top, it tends to sound more like an SG as far as tone goes...which is a good thing. I love the thick tone that SG's have.

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Special T Burstbucker Pro Electric Guitar:

I bought this Les Paul solely based on the description from the web site. It turned out to be a great gamble! It came set up out of the box, and sporting the same Burstbucker Pros as the $2800 LP Standards. I was further surprised by the Grover sealed tuning machines it had rather than the Kluson Traditionals that the site showed it had. With the neck binding and coil taps on the volume pots, this is basically a Les Paul Standard without the arch top, pickguard or body binding. This guitar plays great but more importantly sounds amazing! The Burstbuckers are clean, clear and bright, but really drive the tubes in my Blues Jr to a nice crunch when I dig in. In tapped mode they sound clean and sharp and mellow. I have waited more than 3 decades to buy a real USA Gibson LP. I was waiting to get a Standard, but this killer deal came along and I jumped on it. For my first ever REAL Les Paul, I am more than pleased, and proud to own it!

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Special T Burstbucker Pro Electric Guitar:

When I saw the price of this on the SDOTD I couldn't pass it up. I'm not a big Les Paul fan, but this gave me the opportunity to have at least a version of one at a great price.
It sounded good out of the box. Chords held their tuning at the 12th fret and beyond. Nice sustain as well.
The only thing that needed adjusting was the action. It was a bit high for my taste. Brought it down a bit and it's been a pleasure to play ever since. The pickups are a bit dark sounding, but that is also adjustable. The neck pickup is louder than the bridge so that will need to be adjusted as well.
All in all, I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Great guitar for the price.

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Special T Burstbucker Pro Electric Guitar:

Sold my old Studio several years ago as just too heavy for me anymore. This one is manageable and has a much better neck, tone and action. Haven't found the Blimish on it yet. Guess this one is a keeper.

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Special T Burstbucker Pro Electric Guitar:

Have 7 other Gibson Les Pauls in my lot currently and whilst in the States picked one of these up and it is every bit as good in tone and playability.

Have never been a massive fan of the Burstbucker pro pickups that I have in my 2013 Standard..but these ones in this body make it a home run.

The neck and frets are perfect and its the first Les Paul I have bought that has required a set up.

          I love this guitar.

Buy one before they are gone!!

This was the SDOTD so it can at a great price, even though it was not as exactly described in the ad.

Saw this on SDOTD and couldn't resist. Don't know if they'll continue making this guitar, but I'm glad I got one. Nice to have a USA made LP among my collection, and this is a "Special" indeed. Wonderful neck, gorgeous finish, nice variety of tones. Surprisingly, set-up was excellent right out of the box. Perfect for all types of music from jazz to blues to good ol' R&R!

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Special T Burstbucker Pro Electric Guitar:

This is a great "Players" guitar. It sounds great and has versatile electronics. The split single coil tone is one of the best I have heard. No, its not a carved top but it doesn't weigh a ton either. Plek set up is great right out of the box. Wish it came with a hard case but that is no deal breaker.
