OVERVIEW

Les Paul performance with a modern, no-frills attitude and hot humbucker with coil-splitting.

Since 1983, Gibson USA has been proving not only that less is sometimes more, but also that less can sometimes knock your socks off – when it comes in the form of the popular no-nonsense Les Paul Studio model, at least. Originally designed as a model for studio artists but adopted wholeheartedly by countless players of all stripes, the Les Paul Studio combines stripped-down appointments with the full tonal splendor and unrivaled playability of a Les Paul Standard at a significant financial savings.

All the elements of the legendary Les Paul Standard are still there, including that fat and sweet maple-and-mahogany tone through two genuine Gibson humbucking pickups with push/pull coil-splitting on the volume controls for plenty of tonal variety. By eliminating a little of the window dressing – namely, building the guitar without binding around the body top or fingerboard, and applying an elegant gold silkscreened logo in place of an inlay – the Les Paul Studio weighs in at a price that players have found irresistible for three decades.

Crucial elements of the Les Paul Studio's design include the carved maple top and mahogany body, glued-in mahogany neck with back-angled headstock, ebony fingerboard, Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece – all design points that have been making Les Pauls the most desirable tone monsters available since the late 1950s. For electronics, a set of Gibson's 500T and 496R Alnico humbucking pickups squeeze every drop of tone from the instrument.

With these classic ingredients, the Les Paul Studio gives you all the sonic versatility you could ask for, from sultry, warm bluesy tones to powerful crunch to sizzling lead tones. Finally, the Les Paul Studio is supremely playable too, thanks to its '60s neck profile and a chambered mahogany body that reduces the weight while enhancing resonance, making it outstandingly comfortable strapped on or seated.

Great Guitar

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar:

This guitar has amazed me,
Mainly I'm lookin 60's neck, which this one has.
The neck just feel great, not too thin and not a baseball bat thick, perfect !!
It's more than what i expected, the pickup sounds great for mostly all of the music kind.
I mainly play metal, this guitar suits well.
Colour, no pickguard and other features look really nice..
The maple tops kinda give a bit different sound than a faded lp studio.
and the push-pull coil give a cool single coil sounds..
this guitar just great for everything !!

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar:

.
I would just like to say that my expectations were very high, but when it arrived I was completely disappointed, the nut on the top of the neck was bent and bowed and I was getting fret buzz. there was no adjusting this, it needed repaired. I can't believe the Gibson Companies Quality assurance let something like this happen. So I sent it back for a replacement, and would you believe when the second Les Paul arrived it had the same problem, a warped nut at the top of the neck and fret buzz and there was no adjusting this one either. I quess the question I have is for the Gibson company, and that would be, who is working in your quality assurance department, I can understand one defective product, but two, with the same problem. I know Gibson makes a great product, but they need to do a better job inspecting their product before shipping it out.

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar:

As I have already stated neck, color, pups, and also the ebony fretboard. This guitar ROCKS!
I bought this guitar because of the 60's neck, the pickups, and the color. I was not disappointed
If you like the neck it can't be beat.
It is just the guitar I've been looking for.
