Playability and sound are incredible! I am very pleased with purchase. I highly recommend one if you don't mind the plain looks. It's a great Gibson Les Paul!
All of the great sonic features found in a Trad without all the bells and whistles!
No noticeable flaws in quality and workmanship. Playability out of the box was spot on. I usually have to adjust but not on this one. The neck is terrific. I love the satin feel and makes long playing a breeze. Fairly lightweight yet rock solid.
This is incredible value for the money. You get a Les Paul with all of the core features found in the more expensive Traditional. Burstbucker Pro's, maple cap...it's all there! Finish is nothing fancy but I like the "stripped" looks. I've owned many high end Les Paul's but this one takes the cake!

The guitar would be satisfactory if it was not for the fretboard.
Standard issue features.
Avoid the Obeche fretboards. The wood is too soft and easily deforms. Your pick is hard enough to carve into the soft wood of the fretboard. Imagine what would happen to the frets after a year of hard playing...
Avoid and buy a guitar with a hardwood fretboard.

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded Electric Guitar:
Great guitar, really nice to play, very smooth and incredible quality sound.
The color isn't the one on the picture, so I was disappointed 'cause I picked specially that. I recommend to change it before disappointing more people.

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded Electric Guitar:
Nice guitar! Out of the box this guitar tuned right up and after a electronics test which was spot on I gave it a workout on my 50 watt JMP Marshall half stack. It perfomed flawlessly playing clean or dirty. I like the Burstbucker Pro pickups, they have great tone and clarity. I am very happy with my purchase.
Comments about Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded Electric Guitar:
Very nice guitar. I was hoping the color would be a little lighter (like in the pics) but still very nice. Plays great after putting my preferred strings & setup.
Comments about Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded Electric Guitar:
Gibson's quality control is seriously lacking and that has ruined an otherwise great guitar buying experience. How do you not test to make sure the pickups work? I just don't get how this one left the factory.
It's a Les Paul, and a low priced one at that. Can't expect too many features. I am happy with the guitar except for the electronics quality.
The guitar itself (everything except the electronics) is great. The problem is that from the moment I took it out of the box the bridge pickup has not worked. The pickup will occasionally produce some sounds if I jiggle the wire just right, but that is all. The bridge pickup appears to be severely f-d up. I could easily return it to Musician's Friend, but since the neck and sound is there I have decided to let the local Gibson Authorized service center repair it under warranty. Gibson guitars now appear to be a crapshoot, and I don't dare tempt their QC dept again by taking a different guitar sight-unseen.
Great guitar for the money if you can get working electronics.

BurstBuckerpro pickups make a great sound as well as the carved maple top. I have the faded blue and still get comments on how it is a good looking instrument. Gibson did an excellent job with price and quality of this instrument. If you are getting it for personal use (that's what I got it for) or you are getting it to perform on stage or the studio, you wont be disappointed.

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded Electric Guitar:
Love this guitar. This guitar is of the highest qualiy and is a tone machine. 8 pounds of bliss.
This guitar is just right. Neck is perfect with nice smooth frets. Intonation is right on the money.
Love the Burstbucker Pro pickups. Have that vintage tone with a little more growl.
Mine is perfect. No blemishes anywhere and frets are perfect with no buzz or fret out/ choke out.
If you want a real Gibson you have to pay for it. As Gibson makes IMHO , by far, the best guitars, they can charge what they want. But it is oh so worth it!!.
Comments about Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded Electric Guitar:
Awesome ax. Period. Once you play it you will see. I wouldn't change a thing on it. It's perfect just like it is. The only downside is that it only comes with a gig-bag. Trust me, though, it's worth it to get the hardshell case. I also got the Gibson leather strap with the Dunlop strap locks and next day shipping. For the price I am super satisfied. I got the Faded Blue Stain and the Opeche fretboard is NO concern at all. This guitar will melt in your hand. Yes, it plays like butta! Quit researching and just buy it. You won't be disappointed.
All the typical Les Paul features minus the glitz and glam of the Standard. I immediately plugged it in to my Peavey 3120 tube head and was blown away by the tone. This guitar is lightweight and handles very nicely.
Blew me away right out of the box. The final inpection before shipping was perfect. The finish(I got the blue faded) is beautiful. The pics on-line do not do it justice at all. Everything works great.
You can't beat the price. It is the least expensive Les Paul Studio. Be sure and purchase the hardshell case. It only come with a gig-bag(which is pretty nice). Sounds just like a Standard just no shiny finish. Great guitar.
Comments about Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded Electric Guitar:
I ordered the Les Paul studio, brown mahogany, and recieved a black satin. I had called before
placing the order to make sure the guitar was what the picture showed, and was told it was.
After delivery of my black les paul, I called to let them know that the picture in the ad was wrong. I was told that they had other calls on this and they were going to fix it, sometime. Also informed
Musician's friend that there was a pit in the 1st fret and it seemed to get passed off as well. I have never had a problem with Musician's Friend with my other numerous purchases. I will still be a customer and am keeping the black les paul just to not have the hassle of returning it, but it would have been nice to have had them at least offer a case or something for the error.
A great sounding guitar. Had to adjust the action and tweek the intonation.
quality was good.
Great guitar for the money. If you are just interested in sound and playability, and don't need
to impress others by looks and money you have poured into a guitar, then this guitar is for you
