Comments about Gibson Les Paul Studio Pro Faded Electric Guitar:
I've always wanted a Gibson electric. And this one didn't disappoint me. It doesn't have Gibson's fanciest look, but it still looks really nice. I wouldn't be ashamed to play it in front of any group. Besides, I didn't buy it for looks, but primarily for the sound, and that's unbeatable. I had a little reservation over the 50's neck because I have small hands. But it feels really great and smooth. I prefer flat-wound strings, so I bought some when I bought the guitar and immediately installed them. And now it's really sweet feeling and sounding. I still can't believe I got such a good guitar and quality hardcase for such a reasonable price. It's one of my best buys.

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Studio Pro Faded Electric Guitar:
Dude, this guitar so rocks my socks off. Best pickups ever put in any guitar ever made. Seriously though, Les Pauls are fairly consistent between models so you can pretty much know what you're gonna get – they're all tasty, little differences in tonal nuances – but this guitar.. It's like the sweet cream on top.
There's a reason these are Gibson's most expensive pickups besides that other one they have.. You're probably used to cranking your amp's treble and presence up quite a bit with your other guitars – not so with these pups man. Set your EQ flat as a flitter with like 2% presence and use the tone controls on the guitar to do the work - these pickups capture so much more of the tonal spectrum because they aren't wound so hot that all you have is mud-range. And as of July 2012 Gibson aren't selling the Burstbucker Pros by themselves in double black, which looks better than nickel on this guitar cause most everything else is black - matches nice.
I might like the bridge pickup to be wound a tad bit hotter cause it can get a little nippy in the high end with the tone wide open but roll it back to 6 or so and it's pretty again, although that takes a little from the output.. I'm kinda particular.
For the quality of this guitar none other comes close to matching the value on any market anywhere else in the universe for this price.
So get this guitar bro! - or don't.
Just sayin :)
God bless!
Comments about Gibson Les Paul Studio Pro Faded Electric Guitar:
Overall I love this guitar. It fits me good, and sounds really good for the price! Playing it through a Vox AC50 Valvtronix amp. Awesome sustain and power in the bypass mode. Has alot of Jimmie Page feel to it. The Tone Pros tail pieces are also nice. Seems solid, and helps with the sustain. Also like the pups with the split coils. For the price I'll sacrifice some of the finish issues for a really great sounding guitar.
This guitar has awsome sustain and tone for the price! I've always wanted a Gibson L/P, but could not see paying the huge price difference between the Les Paul and my Strat. While the Strat is fine guitar, nothing sounds like a chambered mohagany bodied Gibson Les Paul. With the split coil Burstbucker Pro pups the tonal range is way up the scale. I'm not a pro musician, but I love a good sounding guitar. And this guitar really sounds good!
The overall quality is good, but this is not a Standard or a Deluxe. The neck is ok but should have a slicker finish on it in my opinion. Do not get me wrong, I love the 50's profile neck. I have large hands with long fingers and it seems to fit me good!
For the buck you get alot of bang. A good sounding guitar at a price even my wife liked.
Comments about Gibson Les Paul Studio Pro Faded Electric Guitar:
Overall nice looks, beautiful tone and balance.
I bought one because I am a Gibson SG player for years and I wanted that beautiful dark tone with that Les Paul fullness and balance.. Guys and girls, this guitar has it. Look at the 5 star rating this guitar got. That is no bull. Because this guitar is a plain Jane without all of the decor and shiny finish, don't be fooled. If you are good at recognizing good guitar tone you will know what I am talking about. Plug into any of the Line 6 devices and go through all of the amp models. The sound just does not break apart even with some of those brittle high gain British amp models. The overall tone and balance stays right there. Any pricy high gain amp is like an expensive sports car. It takes experience to tweak it just right for the high end performance. If you like AC/DC or Black Sabbath try playing some of their stuff. You will definitely be impressed. So why are these studio models so moderately priced and can deliver an exceptional tone? I think it comes from good ingredients like the woods and also from very tight manufacturing tolerances which produce great overall playability. They are able to deliver a good instrument by laminating the bodies together with good cuts of wood which brings the price down. The great tone and playability is still there. One last thing, this guitar has the split-coil Burst Bucker Pros. You can achieve a really nice blend by tweaking the volume and tone controls. I bought this guitar because I am an experienced player and I knew what I wanted. I had a pretty good idea what this guitar was gonna do even before I bought it and I turned out to be right. This guitar fits me and my playing styles perfectly.
great quality for the price.
a fantastic value. Remember the manufacturer can keep the price down and still deliver a good value.
Comments about Gibson Les Paul Studio Pro Faded Electric Guitar:
pots worked good, tuners stayed in tune, finish was nice, inlays looked great. nothing to dislike really...
been playing off and on for many years and have played many guitars. I honestly don't think you can find a better guitar for the money! nice faded finish, inlays look great, comfortable to play, not too heavy and the split coils are a bonus. I think the pickups sound great, absolute tone machine! buy a slightly used one and its a total steal, mine even came with a hardshell case.... no way you can go wrong with this guitar!
quality is unbeatable for the money....
unbeatable for the money....
Comments about Gibson Les Paul Studio Pro Faded Electric Guitar:
Since I bought one, I would have to question buying another! But I do recommend it to my friends.
The pickups are fantastic, guitar finish when I pulled it out of the case was exceptional. However, I did rub the finish down and it polished up very well. Overall rating is excellent for the cash laid out. I recommend one of these to anyone.
Overall, for the money excellent. Everyone who has seen the guitar likes the finish. Pickups work great, they are excellent for this guitar. The chambered guitar, I agree, sounds much better, that's me though. I have a 78 custom with original pickups, the Studio Pro has far better pickups. Believe what Gibson says about the pickups, they are not far off the mark. I also like the split coils on the Bust Bucker Pro's with the chambered guitar. Has excellent sustain, nice harmonics with the sustain and the pickups collect all that and deliver it to an amp. What more could one ask for the price. Neck is one piece just like they say.
Value for the price, I think I pulled one over on Gibson!!!!
Comments about Gibson Les Paul Studio Pro Faded Electric Guitar:
Such a lovely sounding beauty.
It is my first Les Paul. I tried some others before making the decision to purchase one.
First, I had in my hands was a swamp ash studio, not so impressed by the finishes, so I was a bit sceptic on what to expect from such famous model, mainly I am stratocaster fan. I plugged in, and the first chord I played was like magic, I was charmed by the sound and the vibe of the whole guitar in my hands. Since then I knew I was going to get one. So the obsession began and the research as well, so now, I know all les paul classes and pick up types. After that I tried a regular black studio, and again the general sound, vibe and sustain confirmed my desition. But I saw other models such the les paul deluxe and the standard pro, as the coil splitting and flat tapered arm were very attractive, unfortunately I can not justify that price. Anyway I decided to get a bit in trouble and go for the deluxe, and almost do it when this new model appeared.
Such good deal for the price. Only doubt I had was the regular rounded profile, so I came back to watch closer to the swamp ash model in the store. I decided was ok. And ordered it. Get it out of the box, and well, the case is not the best, as my friend's old one shows more quality. But works perfectly anyway and seems to be lighter. Opened, and bells started to sing... ha ha. As obsessive as I am, started to examinate the construction, set up, finishes, quality, and could not find nothing to complain. Immaculate. Plug in and almost jumped back by the roar from my VOX. What to say. This guitar is so good sounding, so well made, the faded arm is so comfortable, the pick ups are impressive. And the tonal options are so wide, I think I may order another one as back up. Feels quite light tough, makes to think it could be more fragile than other guitars, time will say, but now, I am a happy and very proud owner of a Gibson Les Paul Studio Pro brown faded guitar. Thanks.
Excelent.
As fair as it could be.
Comments about Gibson Les Paul Studio Pro Faded Electric Guitar:
I have played a Gibson SG for years. I never considered one of those heavy weight LPs. Well, I went to the local Gibson dealer, and now I can not play anything else. I still love all my Gibson guitars, but I can not even get any sleep for wanting to play this axe. Get one, you'll see!

Comments about Gibson Les Paul Studio Pro Faded Electric Guitar:
This guitar is beautiful. I just picked one up at a local music store on sale. As soon as i sat down to play it, I was sold on it. This is the first Gibson I've owned, and I'm amazed at the wide array of tones it can deliver. This is a great guitar and you won't be disappointed by it!
