The solid maple construction, driven by Burstuckers is sure to create a new class of blues rockers.

Originally introduced in the early '80s, the Gibson 335-S is for players who love the 335 size and shape yet want the brighter tone of a solid maple guitar. That tone is aided aided and abetted on this new version with the addition of BurstBucker pickups that replicate the sound of Gibson's original "Patent Applied For" pickups. Of course this 335 has the seductively rounded Venetian cutaways while the maple neck with rosewood fingerboard hosts 22 frets.

Comments about Gibson Limited Run 335-S Solidbody Electric Guitar:

Just got it yesterday, This is a pretty guitar also a very well made guitar. pickups sound really nice playing blues and blues rock. I've been playing for over fourty years and for the money this thing is a sure bet. It comes with a nice hard case.It is on the heavy side being solid maple but it is well balanced and play great sitting or standing. Right out of the box it took me maybe two minute to tune it to concert pitch and I was off and running. I would of had no problem playing a gig five minutes after taking it out of the case. My guitar was made in 2011. But I like it better than the new ones. great tuners tunes really fast and stays there. Bravo! In closeing this is as good a guitar for the price as I've ever owned and thats saying a lot.

Comments about Gibson Limited Run 335-S Solidbody Electric Guitar:

After thousands and years of trial and error I have finally dialed in the sound I have always searched for with a middle of the road Gibson 335s (price wise) a cheap tube amp, and a low priced overdrive and chorus. I truly think I found what I consider my Holy Grail sound, a punchy blues tone with attitude that has always eluded me. I have spent so much money over the yrs looking for this sound and now I have it. Sorry I'm not going to tell you the brand names of my set up, I'm going to guard my new sound like a pitbull over a pork chop! I recommend you start with the 335S and you will be on your way to finding your own perfect tone. I bought the Silverburst (not from MF) Finish and hardware are everything you would expect from Gibson. One downfall was the high E was adjusted so far down it was resting on the frets. This was an EZ adjustment for me but could be an issue for a newbie. The strings were all loosend for shipping so maybe this allowed the bridge adjustment to turn due to vibration during shipping. I can now park my LP, SG and a few other non-gibsons along with 2 Marshall amps. I found what I needed was less. If you have a bad back you may want to consider the weight of this guitar is about 13 pounds.

Comments about Gibson Limited Run 335-S Solidbody Electric Guitar:

Excellent value for the money. I love it ! Interesting melding of great body styles: Gibson 335, SG, Les Paul and PRS. Excellent build quality, about as good as Gibson can do. Burstbuckers are powerful and sound terrific. Easy to play neck. The solid maple body is beautiful while at the same time offering nice tone. But if you are sensitive to weight, beware, the maple body is heavy. A production run of 400 makes it a real collector's item; better pull the trigger before it's too late.

      Exceeds Expectations

Comments about Gibson Limited Run 335-S Solidbody Electric Guitar:

i'm a picky fella and strict reviewer....if I give 10 that means I love the instrument and would not change a thing....that is the case with this quirky looking, but beautifully crafted instrument. It really is a fine instrument; one that I would not take out to cover band gigs. I just use it at home for practicing and my recording transmogrifications.

You will not be dissapointed in this unit.
Two very nice top of the line pickups (the burstbuckers are an acquired taste for me as I have them in a les paul as well; I love the chime but find them maybe a bit pointy sounding), single tone and two volume and selector....very basic features that are very well executed. I love the neck size, feel and finish...everything about this instrument is class A and well executed.

The pickups sound is very subjective; they work well in this guitar so I will not change them
I don't think the build, fit, finish and overall work can be any better....this is a supreme instrument
it's not cheap....i just reviewed the charvel and the value on that is a 10 because the quality is as good and the price is lower....but that said, this is a supremely beautiful instrument with more features (tone knob/ckt), slightly nicer case and I will say a more complicated finish. I am not at all unhappy at the price i paid
