Pure SG style glammed up for a whole new look.
Jaws will drop as you reflect the stage lights around the room with the Gibson Les Paul SG Special. The full-body mirror top is complemented by an equally flashy matching mirror truss rod cover and mirror dot fretboard inlays. Underneath the glam and glitz, it's pure Gibson muscle, though. Constructed with a traditional mahogany body and neck, fast '60s neck profile, rosewood fingerboard, and 490R and 498T alnico humbuckers. Chrome hardware.

I have owned a 61' reissue sg for about 2 years now, and its a fantastic guitar. My only problem with it was the cost, which wasn't that much of a factor but paying 2 grand isn't nothing. Either way, I loved that guitar for 2 years of work. Then I went to my buddies house and he surprised me and had this out. This guitar is so close to being perfect. Great sustain output and handles all types of effects and distortion without screaming at you are really going out of tune at all. The neck is fast and plays any type of music from rock to blues to metal with ease. The only things I didn't like. 1: The neck was fast but only had 22 frets (Don't get me wrong that's fine), but I usually prefer 24 just because I really ride at the end of the neck in my solos. The only other thing is stupid, but its a beef Ive had with most sg's s that the cable input is on the front which means that if your guitar (GOD FORBID) gets left somewhere and falls forward, you either replace the whole guitar or fix it. But as you can see on both of the "downsides" they were just my opinion. But this gutar is a great gig guitar because if your band is getting alot of the attention during songs, you take this baby out and all eyes are on you. This guitar is just pure insanity for the price. You CANNOT beat the price for the quality and lets face it, the gibson name. Buy this guitar, and you will be happy you didn't spend another 1,000 on a guitar that offers the same deal.
i just saw switchfoot play last night and the lead singer played this guitar. let me tell you this thing sounded like one million bucks!!! if this thing sounds that good at concert volumes then it'll sound even better if you're playing smaller gigs. i've always been a les paul guy myself but man, this sg is making me have second thoughts!
