And it sounds as sweet as it looks with a premium solid Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides. Lower string tension from the 24-3/4" scale makes it play like a dream.

Overall this is the best acoustic I have ever played in my life. Better than any Martin or Taylor. It has such a great tone. So dark!!
The tuners are supers smooth while the neck and fretboard are like butter!!
They used such great quality woods for this guitar!!!

I treated myself to the TV Southern Jumbo this last Christmas. I wondered if a guitar could be worth the substantial cost.About my ratings. Features at 4.5 'cause no on-board pick-up. Value 4.5 because the True Vintage is a cost+ style decision. Every penny of it. First, the guitar sounds rich and woody and has a tone like nothing I have played or recorded before (especially recorded, where this guitar stands head and shoulders above anything I have heard). Playability os smooth and easy, the action was perfect when it arrived form WWBW. Appearance, gorgeous with a deep nitro finish and the dark tobacco sunburst is stunning. Smell, yes smell, this guitar smells fabulous. In fact, this instrument pleases all the sense every time I play it. Also, the hard shell case is huge, solid and beautiful too. Love the pink lining.Anyway, enough gushing, I am going to play now...

Gibson has really stepped-up with the True Vintage line of guitars. Excellent finish, tonewoods, and craftmanship. Warm, rich tone from the solid, pattern grade mahogany. Beautiful color in the vintage sunburst. Factory set-up is good. Plays like a dream. With that being said, advertised is open-back nickel grovers. It does not have them. It has the vintage keystone tuners. Plastic bridge pins! At this price, it should have bone pins along with the bone nut and saddle. Advertised it comes with vintage case. It comes with a regular Gibson hardshell acoustic case. Just like the Modern Classic line comes in. I got no registration paperwork, just a reciept. Overall, extremely satisfied with the guitar. Expect to play this guitar for many, many years.
