It has the mojo sound and juju look.
The Gibson classic has been given a conjure treatment: swamp ash body (for lighter weight), ebony fingerboard with red pearl voodoo skull at the 5th fret, 496R and 500T pickups, and black hardware. The finish is especially distinctive. The guitar is painted ebony, then rubbed with a red filler that catches in the grooves of the ash woodgrain, and finally sealed with a satin-lacquer finish coat.

What can I say? I love this guitar! I bought mine before Gibson realized what a great deal they had and raised their price... sucks for the rest of you! Anyway, the fretboard is silky and the neck has a great natural wood feel, the punchy crucny tone of the swamp ash and the ceramic pickups is to die for... it SCREAMS. I've never found a guitar that I like as much. And the funny part is, I bought it based on its description. The red filler doesn't really show up, unless you let it get glossy, which looks better anyway. Rudolf Schenker of the Scorpions has a flying V version of this guitar. =) The most playability and best sound out of anything I've tried. USA BABY!

What else can anyone say about this guitar? The one word sums it up. From the ultra hot pickups to the smooth finish, this guitar is an excellent buy. Anyone who is searching for a new axe, look no further. Sounds great, looks even greater. WILL NOT disappoint!

I love the finish, and the whole motif. The fat neck feels the best I've ever felt, but I'm a little concerned that if I scratch the finish it'll show like a fiend.
Best guitar I've ever played or owned. I recomend it to any one tha t likes good playing guitars.
I can make this baby GROWL!!! I was lucky enough to receive this beauty as a gift from a dear friend...Came with the faux reptile hard-case, even had the "pajamas" satin guitar cover attached to the case...I have named my Voodoo SG Black Marie, for Marie LaVeau, the voodoo queen of New Orleans....Since I received Marie, I hardly play my Telecaster anymore.....
- Was this a gift?:
This is a great guitar. Not only does it look really cool, but it has a great sound too. It is perfect for any type of heavy metal or rock. Mine has seen a lot of gigs and I never have had a problem with it. The only complaint i have is with the finish. The body is easily scratched or dented, so be careful running into microphone stands. If you love the Voodoo look, and you love the SG..This is the guitar for you.
This is by far the coolist guitar ever. The features kick ass and the sound is amazing. Not really ment for soft rock, this is definantly the nicest guitar I've seen or owned. It "sleeps" like krazy, so thats good or bad... Depending on how you play. The red filling wont show up for a while, but the red pearl skull is awesome. This guitar is defenatly a 10 out of 10... LONG LIVE OZZY!!!!
Well I have the voodoo Les Paul, but they don't have anymore on MF. I've played the SG and I still love it. This series was discontinued this year, so hurry up and get this one! This is a really great guitar for players who play a lot, like in a band, and it's not an _outrageous_ price. I absolutely love my Paul and I know this is a great guitar, too. Gotta say - I put a standard black Gibson pickguard on mine and it looks really cool... They shoulda made it standard, I think.
This guitar has such sweet looks, and even better tone. This guitar is perfect for anything and everything. AND IT'S LIGHT. I love the lightness because I jump around all the time.
after i purchased this crazy guitar, i swear, i did not regret spending the money one bit. put on a little distortion, and its almost like the guitar has a mind of its own. I guess thats why they call it the voodoo. great job gibson !!!!!!
This guitar is pretty well made, and pretty easy to play. You're kind of locked into a hot dirty sound though, because the pick-ups don't sound too good when you're trying to play clean. Oh yeah- It looks pretty cool too.
Awesome sound out of this bad boy. Plays great! Looks as mean as is sounds!
