Quite possibly the most versatile guitar I have played. Sleek look, a balanced explorer (can you believe it took nearly half a century?), capable of everything from jazz brilliance to a chunky growl. Sustain for days. "You could go and grab a bite and she'd still be ringing." Relatively affordable, thus my value rating. Quality American craftsmanship, you know the drill.
Truly professional in every way. The neck/fingerboard is on of the best I have ever played, really fast and accurate. The hot pickups running through a Marshall DSL 50 and 1936 cabinet smoke anything around. These are fine guitars for the money. They could easily sell for twice as much $$.
The guitar has lots of great features, but my favorite would have to be the neck, it is a Les Paul neck with ebony fretboard and plays so quickly and smooth. All of the parts on the guitar are working great and I've had it for over 1 year now, and have had no problems with the quality of the guitar. It was very well built and I don't anticipate to have any problems.
I have had mine for about six months and this thing rocks through and through!!
This is by far the best guitar i've ever played. I've been tryin to get my hands on one for months and finnally i got mine 2 weeks ago. I've been through the whole fender thing, epiphone, dean, but nothing compares to a Gibson. The X-plorer has a nice easy to play neck and a little smaller frets for more flexible playing. The sound is amazing and i know that this guitar is gonna treat me well for years to come.
what more could a axe slinger want? good looks, great sound, and sustains for days. plays like a dream.
I just got this thing and it's sick!! The neck not only L@@ks amazing, but plays CRAZY accurate since its slightly thinner. Not 2 mention the AA maple top, ebony fret board, and pearl block inlays make it quit rad. Light weight- HOT pickups- Unique L@@ks... how do they do it??... SOLD.
Neck, balance, tone and price make this a hard value to beat.
The AA Flame Maple Top gives it incredible looks. As always Gibson deleviers with another great guitar. The chrome hardware is nice. Compared to other Explorers its everything you'd want from a Gibson. All in all its very sweet.
Looks good, sounds good, and it's worth it.
