Comments about G&L ASAT Classic Walnut Finish Electric Guitar:

I've been playing acoustic for a little while and wanted to get an electric that I would NEVER need to replace. This one is it. I spent a lot of time in a lot of guitar stores and just did not find a better one, regardless of price. I still look, but always walk out the door and go back home and pick up this guitar. We've bonded, that's it.

Comments about G&L ASAT Classic Walnut Finish Electric Guitar:

Just bought this through MF and came today. This is a perfect tele. Quality, USA hardware, perfect fret and nut work, perfect finish. Great gigbag. I think this is the single best bang for buck guitar. Moreover, it's built well enough and cool enough for lifetime of playing. Color scheme, quality and fatter neck give it much more mojo than the competition. You really can't go wrong with this guitar.

I have finally found my guitar

      By Todd Anderson

      from South Dakota

Comments about G&L ASAT Classic Walnut Finish Electric Guitar:

It will be interesting to see if I ever get tired of playing this guitar. I cannot envision that right now. My hollow body curiousity may get the better of me eventually, but as of now this is my favorite guitar and I don't see myself straying. Get it and you'll be very glad.
Still searching for that guitar that allows you to discover how you really sound? Try this guitar out; you may find "your sound," as I did. I've enjoyed playing this guitar so much, and it's given me confidence to branch out on my playing. I've been a rhthym/chord guy for years and years, but now I've been working on scales/soloing. I credit this guitar.
Finish was a little dull in places, but I'm much more of a function-over-form guy. Very attractive otherwise.

Played great out of the box, and sometimes I go days without tuning. Fret ends could use a little work, but it really has not impeded play. Such a solid neck ... and I usually prefer a thin neck, but this thing is SO very playable.

I have yet to get it "set up" by a pro as I usually do with new guitars. There really has been no need for that.
I'm discovering that, as in footwear, you get what you pay for with guitars. Six hundred bucks for this is very worth it. I've not played high-end guitars, but have a hard time imagining it gets much better than this G&L ASAT Classic. I've played my share of $400 guitars, and this thing far exceeds those in playability.

Of course, I'm a tube amp guy. Do yourself a favor and stop playing your solid state amp and get a tube amp. Coupled with this guitar, beautiful sounds await. Good luck.

G&L Tribute Series ASAT Classic Walnut Finish Electic Guitar

      By Michael Surguine

      from Chandler, AZ

Comments about G&L ASAT Classic Walnut Finish Electric Guitar:

Guitar arrived in mint condition as advertised. Beautiful walnut stained swamp ash body and black two-ply pickguard. Guitar is lighter than I expected. Finish on neck is not as classy looking as on my U.S. made Legacy, but then they have to save money somewhere to sell at this price. Rosewood fretboard is smooth and slick. No single coil hum or noise from pickups. Guitar sounds great through my Ampeg Superjet.

      Stunning

      By basketcase

      from Boston

Comments about G&L ASAT Classic Walnut Finish Electric Guitar:

For near the price of a new Mexican Tele, you get so much more with the G&L Asat. First off the pickups are the hottest passive pickups I've ever heard. They snap, bite, and overdrive so well. The components are all high quality, and the finish is immaculate. I would say anyone looking for a brilliant guitar at a moderate price point check out this guitar. Also I will add the controls are just like any other telecaster but on this guitar do not be afraid to mess with the tone knob. It doesn't actually get any muddier or lose any attack when you roll off, it just gets warmer and darker.
