An incredibly lively axe with versatile electronics.
The handcrafted mahogany neck sits deep in the mahogany body for excellent energy transfer between neck and body, and the string-thru-body bridge increases resonance even further. The pickups and bridge are recessed into the body to give your picking hand more comfort and flexibility.
2 Godin humbuckers are controlled by a 5-way switch enabling you to split the coils in each one and access both pickups at once. It easily produces warm, clean tones and thick, distorted sounds.

The overall concept is fantastic and the wood is beautiful. Great shape to the neck and great tone if you can get it to stay in tune. I've bought the guitar for performances and have yet to have stay in tune for more than few seconds. I have already replaced the tuners and know the electronics are going and the bridge has to be replaced. I have not been able to successfully even practice with this guitar let alone take to a show. Furthermore, Godin's customer service is horrible. They did not offer me a solution let alone replacement parts. I strongly recommend that you find another guitar to meet your needs as the money you save on the overall cost will just lead to money you'll have to spend for replacement parts and repairs. I am truly disappointed and sad as it is a physically a beautiful guitar.
Killer sound, really good clean and overdrive tones. Slightly dark sounding, much like an SG, but it can brighten up nicely on the single-coil positions. Very playable, semi-gloss body with a really fast neck. One note, this isn't the prettiest guitar in natural, but in red it's quite striking. Beautiful pickups, great range of tones at hand, from country to death metal. If you want a professional quality guitar for a great price, go up, hit add to cart, and buy the thing already!P.S. I've played 5+ of these guitars, and the quality is consistently great. I hope to buy one soon.
Beautiful finish and craftsmanship. Killer tone and versatility. I wasn't dissapointed! Nice Gig bag, but this guitar needs a good case!Switches and controls were perfect.
I rated the features a 4 because it had no synth or piezo. I don't need these features. Mine is the satin natural finish that I think has an elegant look. This guitar plays as well off the shelf as any guitar I've played and far better than anything in it's price range. I've heard of som people having trouble with the tuners but mine are fine. Tuners can be changed, big deal. This sounds like a SG Standard But plays better than the 4 Gibson SGs' I've owned. This guitar is a keeper. I've owned it since the model first came out.
This is one of Godin's nicest guitars. I've had it for about 2 years and it is great. The sound is excellent. I used to own the Squier SE-100 but I moved to this guitar and it is very nice. It is a very smooth-playing guitsr that is great if you are in a band. I recommend this fine piece of work to all average guitar players.
I can't say enough good things about the Godin LG. I own many guitar makes but I always come back to this model for playing live. Mine is trans red in colour and has the dual humbuckers, they sounds awsome through a Marshall and you can get unlimited sounds by adjusting the 5-way switch, tone and volume. The thing I also like about this guitar is the neck which has a feel similar to my Gibson SG or 50s Les Paul. For the price it's absolutely the best you can get for a Can/American built guitar. Join the revolution that will send the imports packing. After 30 years of playing, this one is my all time favourite electric guitar. I'm going to buy another LG but it will be the one that has the single coil Seymour Duncans
