A highly playable guitar with electronics that let you switch from passive to active pickups.

The Godin Progression is the next evolution of the single-coil electric guitar. The Progression offers all the slap and spank you'll ever need while delivering extremely consistent volume output, power, and crunch from its three Godin GS-2 pickups that you wouldn't expect from a single-coil guitar.

The Godin Progression combines a 25 1/2" scale with the added snap of a rock maple neck along with the bonus of the High-Definition Revoicer. Godin even Includes a gig bag with the Progression guitar.

    Godin H.D.R. High-Definition Revoicer
The H.D.R. revoices and augments the frequency range of each pickup and gives you the ability to go from passive to active pickups with a simple push of a button.

The Godin H.D.R. provides extra bite, and dynamic response while redefining the character of each pickup. It's like having 2 sets of pickups in a single guitar for 5 pure passive tones plus 5 pure active tones.

Plays like my strat. One small imperfection in the finish on the face and one tuner looks a little crooked but it sounds and plays great.

Comments about Godin Progression Electric Guitar:

I've been playing for over thirty years and I own a 1990's something American Strat plus two other Godins. I brought my Progression over two years ago. It's a vintage sunburst with a rosewood neck. Since I got it I haven't played my Strat or my other guitars. I don't play in a band but I play my Progression 2-3 hours every day. Believe me, I'm rough with my guitar and this one has stood up well. No problems with the electonics, tuners, frets, finish or anything. I had to adjust the intonation as it was slightly off and the G string was set too high. I don't regret buying this guitar.

Comments about Godin Progression Electric Guitar:

Been play'n 35 yrs. I picked up the Godin Progression a few days ago. They are evenly compared to American strats if not better. Played them all & I have most big names & more. This is a rock solid beautiful instrument. 8.5 lbs, Setup on arrival second to none. Havent had to adjust a thing and I ALWAYS, ALWAYS have to. But this is the only one that can claim that trophy. Action rivals my prs and is in my top 3 for feel and play. The Godin gears are consistently smooth with no slip feel when tuning similar to top quality gears. Pickups are beefier than standard Strats and the HDR active electronics just puts it over the top SWEET! Beautiful strat tones and workmanship. The feel of this guitar is immediately of quality & playability when you first pick it up. It comes with the Godin gig bag with six compartments and egdes are lined on the inside with a thick flexible hard pastic & is easily the best gig bag I have. My Progression has a 9v battery inside the back control plate cavity and is supposed to last 200 hours. The new ones use a lithium coin type battery. I imagine a lithium 9v would last forever running the HDR active system. I was told that even if the battery goes dead you still have signal in passive mode. How cool is that? Many active electronics guitars just go dead period when the battery runs out, how would you like that to happen live? Still be aware you have to remove your input jack to preserve the battery. Its true bypass so you dont even need a battery installed if you prefer standard beautiful strat tones without the HDR. I love the simple Volume Tone no guess work controls. The headstock, tuners, bridge, pickguard, and pickups all are stamped or engraved with the Godin logo. The Progression competes by itself in passive mode and by far the pickups are punchier & fuller than standard single coils. They are said to sound as good a texas specials if not better. And I'm thinking they are better. My last 2 guitar purchases were from the Top 2 American guitar companies. I bought one last Sept. and the other last Dec. But neither has gotten a review yet, they are good but its pretty obvious Godin has it covered hands down. I've been there and done that and wouldn't put it in writing if it wasn't true. 2 things that you hear about the Progression is that it plays like butter and the quality is all there. That is so on the money its not funny. Wow! Its the real deal. See the Godin factory tour online, theres 2 of them. American guitar companies need to look up and smell defeat and I wish that wasn't true but it is. Godin is here to stay. We cant get stuff like this in America unless we pay major for it. For Under 500 I just cant say enough about this axe. If I could rate it 6 stars I would. Nuff said Jims.
