I have owed this guitar for several months after seeing it in Guitar Player Magazine. It won a "Picks" award. G.P. was on the money with this one. It is a Very fine high quality Guitar. The neck and frets are impeccable. Very fast and comfortable. The EMG81 combined with the string through body design give killer tone and sustain. The ball end of the strings sit on a brass block set into the back of the guitar. This along with the quality silver leaf maple wood running through the body account for the sustain. This guitar is very light in weight(approx 6 lbs). I have found one pick-up to be sufficient for this guitar as this is a shredder designed mostly for lead work and it dose that very well. A tone control may have been nice but I use a Boss EQ peddle. I find I don't really use the tone control on my guitars anyway and the less circuitry the better. More finish choices would have been nice. To sum it up, this Canadian made guitar is equal in quality to anything U.S.A. made at a better price. It is a fast shredding ax for rock and metal.
I feel that the Redline 1 is really quite an awesome axe.At first look one might be turned off by its single EMG pickup ,but appearances are deceiving in this case. The palette of tones is most excellent .You can use use this axe for virtually any style of music you play .Superb quality and great neck and fret finish.Go for it!!
