You get the best in the gretsch line. If you want a warm spruce topped gretsch filtertron sound, buy this. There are no neck radius issues or bridge mismatches. The action can be set low and this guitar sounds so good with flatwound strings on it! I have the Cad Green model and the finish and craftsmanship were all perfect. This is my third gretsch guitar and it's the best hands down. The slightly bigger body is not a factor in playability at all, I mean it's only 1/2" wider all of the way around, so don't think that you have to buy a 6120 to be able to rip it up... It's too bad that they have been out of stock on green ones for a while now.Buy it, you won't regret it!
I can say without a doubt this is the best sounding, best looking , fastest playing and the most well made instrument I have ever owned. I don't play out much anymore but If I did this would be my main guitar. Any amp I have plugged it into it just sparkles . The pickups are pretty hot, the tone switching is definitly more distinct than the Tennessean or Nashville I owned in the past. Ownly change I might make would be a tune-matic bridge. Other than that it is a wonderful instrument.
