Sounds great, looks great, not too heavy stays in tune even when using the Bigsby.
The G5129 is exactly what I have been looking for in a Gretsch guitar. It's got tons of the classic "Gretsch vibe" in both tone and feel. The fit and finish would be considered excellent for a guitar costing two or three times as much, which makes it incredible for a guitar at this price point.I use mine mostly with (1) a Fender Cyber Champ, (2) a Fender 1964 Tremolux and (3) a Univalve with a Marshall 1936 cabinet. Absolutely great tone with all three. The only shortcoming is that they don't make a hardshell case for it. The Gretsch soft case is quite good, though.I'd buy the guitar again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend it.
I bought this guitar when it first appeared on the market because of its price. The playability on this guitar compares to that of last seasons Setzer hot rod model. The DeArmond pickups push's out that great 50's gretsch tone. i recommend this guitar to Rockabilly, Blues, and Punk Guitarists.
I picked up this guitar and i was amazed... this guitar had the sound and look i was looking for. The perfect Rockabilly sound! the electromatic is amazing. This guitar does the gretsch name justice and the price is great!
Beatiful guitar. Mine is silver sparkle with walnut back, action is good, the neck is easy to get around on, strings are low on the neck. The hardware is very nice. New strings will make it sound better. It has true Gretch sound. Good value for the price. Order an Epiphone case for best deal in a case.
