I absolutely love this guitar! Right out of the box you will notice that the color is exquisite! It screams "Play me!" And you will want to, all of the time. It quickly became my number one go-to guitar. When played through my Fender and Ampeg tube amps it sounds so good you don't want to stop playing it, but then when you do put it down you can't wait to pick it up again. The playability is excellent and the neck is fast. As a bonus, with the double-cutaway and the neck being set further out than most Gretsch hollow bodies you can reach all of the way to the top fret. The Pickups can have that Setzer bite and growl when you attack the strings, or they can be sticky sweet and full with a moderate attack. It also does quite well played through an amp with OD or through an OD or Distortion stomp box. The tremolo however is, well, it's a Bigsby, and there is a good reason the Floyd Rose Trem was invented - because the old trems would not stay tuned when you dive them and this one is no exception. The old trems were never designed to modulate more than a few cents. If you crank on it you will constantly be tuning. So just leave the trem alone and view it as a pretty ornament and you'll be fine. I gave the guitar a 5, but if the ratings went to 10 that would have been my choice. This is probably the coolest guitar you'll ever own.

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G5422T Electromatic Hollowbody FSR Electric Guitar:
I have owned super chets , country club, country gents from the USA. The quality of this is unbelievable good. Made in Korea. The black top filter tron is all Gretsch. it does not sound like a dearmand or the pickups in the 5120. They have that great gretsch sound with a lot of adjustment. My action is 3/64s at the 12th fret. no sharp or uneven frets, guitars was in perfect intonation, take note Gibson. All i did was lower the action and raise the pickups adjust the neck. I could not be any happier with the guitar. Purchased from Musicians Friend. I highly recommend this model.
