Out of the box, before I could plug it in, I knew a had a real sweet guitar.Once plugged in wow. I realy didn't expect that"Gretch Sound" but it was there in full force. The neck is really fast, and frets are well set.Hate to repeat but, yeah, this is a big bang for the buck!I own a few, but this is my new #1.

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G5810 Bo Diddley Signature Electric Guitar:

This guitar has an amazing quality sound for the price. Rich tone both distorted and clean, looks great and easy to play. The only problem with it is the tailpiece. The string goes in from pickup side and wraps over the top of the tailpiece. It's hard to get the string into the hole until you get used to it, and worse it breaks strings like crazy. I'm probably going to have the tailpiece replaced with a more conventional one at some point. But overall, this sounds as good as much more expensive guitars for a reasonable price.

      Gretsch 5810

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G5810 Bo Diddley Signature Electric Guitar:

Overall a wonderful purchase. I thought the it might be awkward to play but its actually quite comfortable. The setup was very good as well. Action was not too high as it usually is for new guitars. Tone is very nice and with my pedals I can get as punk or bluesy as I want. Very happy with this purchase and hope no one else buys one so I can have the only one on the block!
When I purchased this guitar I thought it would be a fun inexpensive one trick pony. Boy was I wrong! This thing is fantastic. It has a beautiful tone that can be used for Jazz, Blues or Rock. The finish is wonderful and the quality surprisingly good for such an inexpensive guitar. Plus it just looks all around cool!
First rate even for a guitar that cost thousands more.
      Super Value

      My Bo Diddley !

      By James Breese

      from Wisconsin

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G5810 Bo Diddley Signature Electric Guitar:

If you are looking for a new guitar, give this one a good look. All in all "The Big Red Box" the features, sound, design, it stands out from the rest.
You will get to love this guitar in no time flat. At first I thought because of the design it would be hard to get use to..It fits and feels better than my Strat !
Well made. Everything is solid. Controls are smooth . One little problem with some unwanted buzzing...but a bit of shielding tape took care of that.
Worth the price paid for it ...To do this over..I wish I would have purchased this a LONG time ago !

Bought this guitar about a year ago

Having been raised in the era of Bo Diddley, I have witnessed the original that Bo had made for him from Gretsch....The instrument has a remarkable clarity for the price and for a foreign made instrument. In his later years, Bo went for the Gretsch designed Billy-Bo, one of which was given Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top....Since Gibbons conspiring with Gretsch, made some changes in the Billy Bo, put his original from Bo in his lockup and now travels with the Billy Bo, a reissue of the Jupitor guitar.... This is an excellent price as I paid more for mine. Holds it's tune, cleans up good, no case or gig bag so buy a good one if you do buy this guitar. Yes, it plays all the best of Bo Diddley, played in open E.............Consider have a good tech go over this guitar right from git go...change strings, tighten and adjust and it will play great!

Good Lil Number for a Very Fair Price

      By Baron Von Rickenbacker

      from Papillion, Nebraska

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G5810 Bo Diddley Signature Electric Guitar:

Did not want to buy this because price was so low priced, I did not feel it would be very quality, well I was wrong. It looks just great (remember it is a cigar box no cut away for higher notes) but the finish is fine, the action is easy, It has fantastic tone range, It plays a beautifully clean Mrs. Brown You?ve Got A Lovely Daughter adjust the knobs & get some genuine heavy distortion for the metal in you. Psst It also plays a mean Bo Diddley too, and guitar hold it?s tune well. A LOT A BANG FOR THE BUCK. :)

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G5810 Bo Diddley Signature Electric Guitar:

When I first saw this guitar I knew I had to have it. When I first got it in I was speechless for about a minute. This guitar sounds Awesome Clean. A very nice bluesy tone. Get one you wont regret it. Hopefully someday they will come in more colors but the gloss red finish looks great anyway. 5 Stars.
