Lead guitarist and song writer

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6120DC Chet Atkins Nashville Electric Guitar:

I just bought one in Oct.2010. I'm a playing musician largly jazz fusion and rock n blues. I find the Nashville a wonderfull guitar to play and the neck is superb. The ability to get feedback which I encorporate in my playing is second to none. I also own a Gibson Les Paul Custom and a Fender Telecaster which I use on stage but since I bought the Nashville, I mostly use it. I do have one complaint though, the Nashville's neck meets the body higher than I'd like and since I have the double cutaway I would like more access to the upper frets. But, all and all I feel this is a top notch guitar and wonder why more jazz musicians don't use Gretsch guitars... I recommend them!

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6120DC Chet Atkins Nashville Electric Guitar:

When it comes to tone, there is nothing like a Gretsch. The DC 6120 gives you better access to the higher frets, but it is still not great in hitting the high notes - a lotta wood between you and the strings. So, when i need tone in the lower register, there is nothing like it!! When working the higher realm of the fretboard, I'm prone to use my American Strat,

THE ULTIMATE GRETSCH 6120

By The Bear-_qi7t

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6120DC Chet Atkins Nashville Electric Guitar:

The 6120DC is without a doubt the finest guitar I've ever owned in my 50+ years of playing. I instantly bonded with mine and seldom play any of my other guitars.I play fingerstyle in the Merle Travis/Chet Atkins style and this guitar is the perfect choice for that style of music. I have a 2008 model and mine luckily came with the TV Jones Classics pickups which nail that vintage great GRETSCH Filter'Tron tone. The thinner body of the DC along with the faux F-Holes give the guitar a very focused response that really shines when recording or cutting through the mix onstage.I do not think a better guitar is built today.
