Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6120TM Chet Atkins Hollowbody Electric Guitar:

This is the third Gretsch I have owned (previously had 6120 Brian Setzer and then a Country Gent. I had traded both of these in for Gibsons (ES-335 and a Les Paul). Decided it was time to get another Gretsch. So far very pleased. The guitar came out of the shipping box in almost perfect tune. I have played it constantly for the week that I've owned it and used it at band practice. It has beautiful sound, both clean and with overdrive. The tone switch produces 3 absolutely useful tones and the guitar sounds exactly as you would expect a Gretsch...actually seems to be a bit louder than my Country Gent. Set up was essentially perfect...I've had to do a slight tweaking to get the intonation close to perfect.
I have no regrets!!! I own several Les Pauls and Strats (including EC and EJ models) and this guitar will definitely come to my band gigs (classic rock..60's through this century). In summary I highly recommend this guitar if you want a Gretsch!

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6120TM Chet Atkins Hollowbody Electric Guitar:

This is my second proline Gretsch in my collection. The has a nice open / woody sound thanks to the tonepost bracing in combination with the HS filtertrons. The other Gretsch I have has TV classic with the trestle bracing inside. They both sound great but for a more vintage style hollow sounding Gretsch tone I prefer this model. The guitar has nice soft V profile neck with a modern 12'' radius and some nice medium jumbo frets. So very comfortable and ready to rock!
The orange tiger maple colour is absolutely beautifull, you have to see this in person!
All the new Tiger Maple models have a slightly lighter orange colour than the standard plain orange stain models. I'll say it again, beautifull!!

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6120TM Chet Atkins Hollowbody Electric Guitar:

This is one very fine instrument. I looks great, sounds great, and plays like a dream. Chet and Gretsch sure got it right with this guitar.

I have several guitars of high quality and this Gretsch in the top dog.
