Truly great guitar, amazing sound & what a looker!

By Jack Gould-DmyQg

from Los Angeles, CA

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6128TCG Duo Jet:

I can't say enough about how great this guitar is. I am a committed Telecaster Partisan and this is the only other guitar I have played that comes close to single coil nirvana of Telecasterdom and also has a unique and desirable voice of it's own. I love these dynasonic pickups. The guitar also sounds amazingly resonant when played unamplified (always a good sign in a guitar) this is no doubt due to the semi hollow body construction. While feeling a trifle most constricted at the top of the neck than a Tele C or U style neck the overall feel and action is quite nice. The Bigsby sounds and plays better on the Gretsch than either of the two Tele's I previously owned that were Bigsby equipped and the ability to stay in tune is also far superior w/ the Gretsch Bigsby. The looks of this guitar are absolutely stellar and the Cadillac Green just stunning. In recent years I have had to pare down my guitar collection significantly but this Gretsch Duo Jet is an absolute keeper.

Killer Guitar

By Strat-0-Fied

from NW Ohio

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6128TCG Duo Jet:

I have played Gibson and high end Fender forever. I bought one of these and I'm a convert. After a setup and .011's I know what Dynasonics and that Gret Gretsch Sound is all about. With the chambered body it only weighs in at about 6 lbs. I love the Sta-Tite tuners now that it has .011 flatwounds on it. This guitar just howls.... it's worth the $$$ if you are going to buy a Les Paul, this is a much better guitar.

Good little guitar

By TeleDan

from Springfield OR

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6128TCG Duo Jet:

I bought mine used a few months ago. It is an eye-catching instrument, and the features are exactly what I wanted. Great tone! Very Gene Vincent. Perfect amount of twang. There are a few issues. I have to take it back to the shop where I bought it to have them fix the tuning pegs which are working themselves loose. The bridge takes some getting used to if you do much Travis-picking. The little knobs kind of dig into the heel of your hand. A very distinctive sound, though. Not made for every style, but does what it does very well.

Best Guitar I Own

By Ampcollector

from Florida

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6128TCG Duo Jet:

I was skepitcal about spending so much on a foreign made guitar but was feeling like trying out something different. Guitar came in tune, perfectly set up, and plays like a dream. The sound out of the neck pick up are absolutely mindblowing. I've played it through a Vox, a Dr. Z, a Victoria, a Boogie, and a Carr Rambler and I can't get a bad sound out of it. Maybe I got lucky with this one, but the tone is mindblowing. Wouldn't hesitate to drop another few grand on another Gretsch!

Pimpin' Green!

By The Lone Axe

from seatle washington

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6128TCG Duo Jet:

I've been playing for a little while now and this is probably one of the best guitars Ive ever tried. The neck is slick and fast and the vibrato on this baby is Sweet! The only down side to this guitar is 1, the price as you have probably noticed, and also the tone/volume knobs. They all (usually) work work well but they are in somwhat of a odd spot (or at least one of them) overall this guitar is top notch, a must buy (if you can afford it)
