Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6196TSP-BY Country Club Hollowbody Electric Guitar:

After haveing this guitar for a while now i figured i would give it another review to better explain this beauty. When i first recieved this guitar it was very dusty and looked as tyhough it hasnt been played in years. The pickups were low output and even sounding, but after adjusting the bobbins and pickup height this baby has a new meaning on life. Ive heard alot of gretches but this country club amazes me everyday. It might be a good idea to get a boss tuner or a mute pedal bc this baby is fulll hollow and can get wild quickly, esp with any gain. After have this guitar for a while you will learn you can control the feedback to your likeing, making for cool intro/outros. Plays like an absolut dream. Looks amazing. you can really see the wood grain through (on the model shown you can see the grain in the wood also in real life). Put this baby against a les paul for shear charachter and this baby will win every time, but the gretch also has a clean sound to die for. Quit drooling and buy it, youll b glad you sold your car...believe me. (i wish u could put a pic with the comment, mines orange w a metallic gold stock gretsch pickguard and gold hardware). fav guitar, i will buy a les paul for solid body tho (or a tele). Most beautiful, most unique sounding, and easily playing instrument i have ever played in my journeys of music, period.

Comments about Gretsch Guitars G6196TSP-BY Country Club Hollowbody Electric Guitar:

i just picked one of these up at the local gc. I have to say i got a deal. I bought it used and it is about 10-15 yrs old. this guitar is beautiful (mine is orange, orange pick-guard too). it def has that recognizable growl that Gretsch is known for. this is definitely my favorite guitar and i will have it forever. mine has gold hardware (kind of rare for a Gretsch),the paint is faded and all the knobs and tuners are a little oxidized. there are no scratches and the neck is straight. and its a left handed model. if u have the $, this thing will impress anyone. i play speed metal, grunge, and stoner-rock but this thing could do anything from spanking country to the fastest speed riffage. not a beginner's guitar! if you are ready to take that next step in your analog conquest, and are tired of everyone talking about how good a Les Paul sounds...this is your guitar.
