OVERVIEW

An affordable 12-striing with great tone throughout and the good looks to match.

Guild 12-strings have been popular since they were first introduced in 1964, prized for their full tone and easy playability. The classic, jangly sound associated with Guild 12-strings provides players with a unique voice that can only come from a Guild guitar.

Built with solid African mahogany top, back and sides, the D-1212 is a dreadnought sized 12-string, featuring an Indian Rosewood fingerboard and bridge, NuBone nut and saddle, mother-of-pearl rosette, and period-correct tortoiseshell pickguard. A mother-of-pearl rosette and Guild' iconic Chesterfield headstock emblem reminiscent of 1960s models complete the package.

The D-1212 includes Guild' new lightweight polyfoam case and is available in Natural gloss finish.

Comments about Guild D-1212 12-String Acoustic Guitar:

I have several acoustic guitars, 6 & 12 strings, USA made Korean made & Japanese. This one says Made in China which I wasn't real comfortable with purchasing but figured I'd try it out. It does have some odd wood grain type of knot hole markings, that is probably why it was a returned item but other than that it looks very well made, the sound is deep & smooth and it has a real nice feel. The neck is a little beefy but not overwhelming. The nut is going to need to be re slotted lightly with files to give the strings a bit more room, just a skunch, no much at all. I believe I'll keep this one for a long time and enjoy playing it daily.. Thanks Musician's Friend for another Great deal.. Oh and the pictures online do this instrument ZERO justice, it's a beautiful Guitar..
