I just received my new GAD-F212E 12 Sting guitar and was amazed at the quality and craftmanship of this guitar. The sound is awesome and it feels good holding it while playing. If your looking for a high quality guitar this is the one that I would recommend. And the hard shell case is of equal quality. Guild Guitars are well worth the investment.
This guitar is absolutely worth the low price you pay for it. I searched for a long time for a 12 string that was easy to play, and sounded good. The neck is comfortable, the action is perfect, and the sound is phenomenal. The iced-tea burst finish is flawless. The Fishman pickup is perfect...don't worry that this guitar doesn't have a preamp on it. The pickup captures the natural sound beautifully. Don't spend twice as much for a guitar of this quality.
I bought this guitar back in August of '07. I searched high and low for a 12 string for years, not finding what I was looking for. I saw this guitar advertised, and being a Guild, who are known for their 12 strings, took a chance. Let me tell you...this guitar is set up perfectly. The action is perfect, and the neck is the most comfortable that I've ever seen on a 12 string. All solid wood, Fishman pickup...great value. Don't even think about this guitar being built in China...if this was an American built guitar it would cost 2 or 3 times this price. You won't find a better acoustic/electric 12 string for the money. It's put together very well. The bone bridge pins are a bit fragile...I had some break, but they were probably just weakened from transport when it was shipped. This is a phenomenal instrument.
