Comments about Guild GAD Series F-130CE Orchestra Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have a Martin GPCPA3 and have been searching for a concert style fingerpicker without spending another 2k. I chose the mahogany build of this guitar for the sonic midrange and brightness factors needed for a fingerpicker. The martin has the rosewood sides and I use that for flatpicking and rythm. The tone of this guitar is sweet and on the bright side. The overtones are kept in check by the shallow and smaller orchestra shape which is a good thing for a fingerpicker. Although this guitar costs roughly 2x the price of a cheaper non all solid construction you would be doing yourself a favor to fork out the cash. In my opinion this level of guitar is where serious tone begins. The price/performance of this Guild is just right for intermediate to advanced player looking to get away from the dull sound of a laminated guitar. There are other all solid options out there, but this Guild is the best value I can find and I'd buy it again, hands down.
