Comments about Guild GAD Series M-120 Acoustic Guitar:

i have been playing guitar for over ten years now and have owned and played about a hundred guitars. I have had this one for a little over a year now and i wont need another acoustic. I'm planning to buy another one very soon just to have as a backup/alternate tuning guitar. dont let its size fool you this thing can get loud. ive owned martins and taylors and this thing blows them away. and at a fraction of the cost of one of those "high end guitars" you can have something that sounds better and has a better finish. buy it before guild discontinues it. you wont be disappointed. if i could give it more than 5 stars i would!

Comments about Guild GAD Series M-120 Acoustic Guitar:

It's small but It's LOUD! This thing looks and sounds beautiful. I will never need to buy another acoustic. My last guitar had high action which made playing uncomfortable after a while. This guitar does not have that problem by any means. I really couldn't be more happy with my M-120.

Comments about Guild GAD Series M-120 Acoustic Guitar:

This guitar and its dreadnaught big brother are well made chinese solid wood takes on guild. I have two of the Narzareth PA, Guilds which are excellent. These Chinese versions are nearly as good.
No this guitar will not blow away Martins, I compared it to my D-15 a mahagony guitar as well. This martin sounds better to me but the China Guild has a very good sound as well and for the price and the looks, it is comparable to other chinese solid wood guitars. It does break up at the high when strumming with gusto.
If you can not afford a D-15 this is a good buy.

Comments about Guild GAD Series M-120 Acoustic Guitar:

The sound from this 3/4 scale guitar is surprisingly full. It has a nice mid range and sounds excellent finger picking or strumming. If you are considering this for small gigs remember that the sound hole is smaller and most sound hole pickups will not fit in this guitar without modification. All around great tone and ease of playability. Every time you pick the guitar up is a delight!

Comments about Guild GAD Series M-120 Acoustic Guitar:

Fretboard and plastic pegs are a little cheap but the case is furry enough to overlook that.

Now I can be even lazier and stay on the bed to practice while watching tv.

Comments about Guild GAD Series M-120 Acoustic Guitar:

This is a sweet guitar. It was setup perfectly out of the box, and has a nice chuncky and thick sound. I ended up exchanging this for a Blueridge because the strings felt just a little too close together for me. I wish Guild made an acoustic with 1 3/4" nut width. Not a flaw of the guitar, just a personal preference as I do a lot of fingerpicking. Overall, fantastic guitar. I might end up buying one again at some point.

Comments about Guild GAD Series M-120 Acoustic Guitar:

Even though it's made in China--which is slightly distressing--and even though it's covered in plastic--sort of--the M-120 is still a Guild, and that's about as good as it gets for an acoustic guitar.

The quantity and quality of sound that comes out of this small guitar is truly remarkable. It's ease of playing is noteworthy. Guild has the best-feeling necks in the acoustic guitar universe, and though this is not the best Guild neck I've ever played, it feels way better than the small Taylors or Martins.

I have four other--large--Guild acoustics but I will be traveling in Europe for six weeks in a car with three other people, a situation that demands a smaller guitar. The M-120 fits that bill beyond my wildest imagination. As soon as I took it out of the case and played it I knew that even though it's a baby that I would have no trouble performing with it over this upcoming trip.

          I say again: It's a Guild.
