Comments about Hagstrom Super Swede Tremar Electric Guitar:
I have to say , I never picked up a guitar of this quality. I would say its made as well or better then my Gibson Les Paul. The action is amazing and the tremelo comes right back and never goes out of tune. I bought a restock and still cant figure why it is one. Maybe beacuse the high E string was broken when I opened the box lol.

Comments about Hagstrom Super Swede Tremar Electric Guitar:
This guitar came to me as a restock, but I have yet to find any flaws with it after three weeks of play. It was set up excellently and required no adjustment. The fret board is a joy to play on - no dead spots exist that I can find. I am very happy with my purchase.
Comments about Hagstrom Super Swede Tremar Electric Guitar:
First off, let me say that on paper, the Hagstrom Super Swede Tremar (SST) has all the features I desire from an electric guitar, minus locking tuners and a chambered body (the Super Swede is a pretty heavy guitar). I was looking for a guitar that combined Fender Strat and Gibson Les Paul qualities, but I prefer a Bigsby-style vibrato, so the Tremar covers that. That, plus the 25 1/2" scale length and coil splitting for the humbuckers gave me the Fender qualities. The mahogany/carved maple/flamed maple veneer construction, bound body/neck/headstock, and pearl block inlays gave me more of a premium Gibson quality. In addition, my SST came in a very nice Vintage Sunburst finish. The problem is, this Hagstrom was poorly finished and non-functional out-of-the-box. I actually had to access the 3-way pickup selector switch to tweak it to work for both pickups, and then had to set the intonation properly for the unwound strings (they were way off). The Tremar spring was unseated and the volume/tone knobs were set-screwed onto knurled posts so they wobbled as they rotated. The finish aspects included spots/blemishes within the body binding, dark paint splatter on lighter portions of the body, fingerprints/smears embedded in the chrome of the Tremar and roller bridge, and a badly molded and peeling-off Hagstrom crest at the base of the Tremar unit. On the plus side, the neck and headstock were flawless...except for the H-Expander truss rod, which was already at maximum tightness adjustment and still left way too much bow in the neck for good playability. Hagstrom touts its necks as being the fastest in the world, and this one certainly wasn't. The limited time I spend playing the guitar amplified revealed nice humbucking and single-coil tones, and the Tremar worked nicely after I aligned the spring, but I couldn't get past the finish issues and the unadjustable high action. That was key, since I play .011 gauge strings which would only bow the neck more. I returned the SST for a full refund. I contacted Hagstrom customer service, describing my experience, and their reply was basically, "send it back for an exchange". Not very helpful. Clearly, the quality control is lacking at the Hagstrom factory in China. I decided not to give them another chance anytime soon.
