See All Hagstrom Semi-Hollow and Hollow Body Electric Guitars

A classy semi-hollowbody with dual humbuckers and tremolo.

Dressed to kill, the hagstrom Tremar Viking Deluxe Electric Guitar will burn up the competition with its select flame maple top and lush finish. It's a semi-hollowbody with a set neck of Canadian hard maple. The fingerboard is made of Resinator, a wood composite material that is homogeneous in nature and is more stable than any standard wood product. The H-Expander truss rod provides tension at both ends and runs the entire length of the neck. The rigid yet light-weight alloy truss rod allows for a very low action and thin neck. Dual HJ-50 pickups are wired to a 3-way switch with individual Volume and Tone controls. A Hagstrom Tremar vibrato with tune-o-matic bridge offers tuning stablilty even after the wildest of rides.

Comments about Hagstrom Tremar Viking Deluxe Electric Guitar:

The Viking deluxe guitar is the best playing and sounding six string, double cut-a-way instrument currently being made today. The neck is like satin, and the build quality is exceptional. I know you can pay four times as much for other brands but I guarantee you will not find a better instrument. The tremolo bar has a weighted tip that just rests in your hand. The position of the controls is perfect and the quality of the pots and toggle is first rate. Unlike many guitars there is a big difference between the control settings, both bass to treble and pickup selection. I would rate the pickups warmer but with slightly more bite than a Gibson Humbucker. I played a borrowed Viking but my next purchase from Musician's Friend will be this instrument. This is probably the best made Asian guitar. If it were made here you would pay four times as much. It's close to perfect.

Comments about Hagstrom Tremar Viking Deluxe Electric Guitar:

I would give this 5 stars except for the weight. About 8 lbs +. It is a lovely guitar. The tremolo only goes up about a half step and down a full step (I guess I'm used to Floyd Rose and some high performance whammies). With head and neck injuries and problems, I need a lightweight guitar. I can play this sitting down and it's really a gas, but can't stand up with it for any length of time. My only semi hollow body. Very nice, different tone than solids or acoustics
