Right out of the box the guitar is set-up as close to perfect as you can get. Low action and strat-like feel to bolt-on neck. Sparkle body paint is awesome. The vibrato system and roller bridge set-up are well designed with little or no detuning after use. The 2 high output single coil pickups and simple 3 way switching produce bright sounding tones. The included fitted hardshell case and bound maple/rosewood neck make this a great value for the money.
Bought this beauty a couple of months ago from Musician's Friend, I couldn't resist ordering a gold sparkle Sweptwing when I saw her, after many years of observing the illusive boomerang/batwinged instrument from photographs taken many moons ago! The fit and finish is excellent, and the thin, Mosrite inspired neck a joy to play, the body stays put when balancing it on your thigh, unlike the uncomfortable Flying "V's". She sounds as good as she looks, playing through a Vox AC 30 or Fender Twin Reverb. The only thing I would change, is to add an optional Tortoise Shell or "Mother of Toilet Seat" pickguard. (Although Bob Shade at Hallmark will customize as you wish in the custom shop.) If you want to stand out amongst the Strats, Jazzmasters, and Jaguars, step up to a Sweptwing!
