I bought this guitar in japan little over two years ago, and have loved it ever since. The tone and quality of it are freaking awesome. It came with the locking tuning system, which is amazing, and it's one of the best guitar ive owned. Its amazing. freakin buy it.
I just received mine today. I already have a Prestige RG1527, so I was expecting high quality. This guitar definitely delivers. I looked it over thoroughly under very bright flourescent lighting. I found no flaws whatsoever. Fretwork is impeccable. The Prestige necks are a thing of beauty. I played it for over an hour unplugged, then an hour plugged in. So far I'd say I will definitely put a Tone Zone and Air Norton combo in it. The pickups do not sound good with a very high gain. (Ran through my Dual Rec or Legacy). The clean tones are not bad though, so if you're not a gain junky you may decide to keep them. This site was clearing these out, I got the last blue one. It did NOT come with the gig bag, but I called and have a case coming with a good discount. I love the 5 way pickup switching Ibanez does with these two humbucker guitars. The parallel neck and single coil bridge options are very good for country, fingerpicking and strumming. Overall this is a great guitar. I was hoping to get a big discount when they went on clearance, but it was not meant to be. I'm still very satisfied with the instrument however.
