A solid rocker with an edgy style.
Its solid mahogany provides rich, warm lows and sweet sustain. The long-grained rosewood fingerboard offers a strong, bright sound and attractive appearance. Its radical body shape has the right look for the most extreme music, while a stopbar bridge setup and a pair of Infinity humbuckers puts it across with conviction.

I play in a band full time and this is my primary guitar. Durable, sounds great, plays great. What else do 'ya need? Oh yeah, did I mention it looks great! My only complaint is after 4 hours or so it gets a little heavy,(nothin' a padded strap doesn't fix), and the pickup switch should be relocated. Other than that, a fantastic value.
i got this guitar about a year and a half ago from a dealer and have come to one conclusion... this guitar is awsome! after putting super slinkies on it(and hopefully some EMG's in the near future), i havent put the thing down, its a really nice looking, great playing guitar. the only down side i can come up with is that its kinda awkward when you play it sitting down but thats something im willing to deal with :). for the price of this guitar, its well worth a try for any guitarist.
I really own the limited edition DT420 destroyer Ibanez made a couple years ago but the materials and pickups are basically the same. The guitar sounds great with the gain cranked for heavy metal and awsome for that classic rock sound. The clean sound is nice and full also. It's built solid and it stays in tune very well. I'm a little partial to Ibanez because they make great solid sounding guitar for a better price. Besides its a destoyer!
I found this guitar in a search for an explorer. I've found that with time I've come to like this body style just as much as an explorer. The pickups get a very punchy sound, as well as a nice balanced brightness. When put through my Line6 Spider II 112 on the Insane distortion setting, the tone almost perfectly matches Metallica's Black Album tone. The action comes relatively low -- a little higher than a Les Paul custom or a Fernandes Ravelle Deluxe. Taps and hammer-ons are very effective. Extremely comfortable for leads such as Iron Maiden's or Metallica's. As a matter of fact, Adrian Smith (iron maiden) used to play a destroyer on stage.(see Run To The Hills video) The focus for me is on Metal, but this guitar should not be underestimated as a blues guitar either. I picked up this guitar about 2 months ago and i couldnt be happier. The pick-ups are great with a real good low end for heavy metal. my only complaint is the color its not really my style.....but i will paint it so thats not really an issue. i also wish it had a floyd Rose.
It's hard not to be a fan of the destoyers. Most who have played them are, new or old. I got hooked on the Phil Collen destroyer in the early 80's and have since had the special place for bith the originals and these well-made Korean versions. I just ordered the DT-200, I couldn't help myself.
Wow, this guitar is completely incredible. I own a number of guitars, and this one is, by far, the best... It's hard to describe, but this guitar is well worth the money! Well worth the money.
I haven't heard or played this guitar yet but I just wanted to say that this has to be one the coolest guitar bodies I've ever seen. I happen to have an Ibanez so I know what I'm talking about when I say that Ibanez sure did put alot of work in to this one.
This guitar is all around awesome. the tune o matic bridge is great for palm muting and feels very comfortable. it has great sustain and kicks ass for shredding. for a while i tuned it to b, this guitar holds a b better than most guitars. there is almost no set up required unless your increadibly picky. buy this guitar, Ibanez has always rocked and the dt200 is no exception.
