I realy like this guitar. I bought one because I've been an Ibanez user off and on for twenty years now. I own mostly the RG stuff, but I was looking for something with a more "singlecut" feel to it. Well, I found it!! For the money, you really can't beat this thing. The pickups aren't the best I've ever heard, but they are unique. I use mostly EMGs and Blackouts but have been looking for a guitar to give me that 'active' sound without having to buy batteries. It's all here. The action was great, minimal setup needed out of the box, good finish work, action a little high (that, and I put 11s on it for a chunkier vibe)but very good right out of the box. Again, if you like Ibanez nd you want a great singlecut guitar that won't break you, give this one a go.
I mostly own RG's. I made this purchase for something different. I really like the feel and sound of this guitar. It has a really warm tone to it for jazz. With my line 6 POD 2.0 I use a fender blackface patch and I get a nice twangy country sound using the bridge pickup. The neck of this guitar is thick like a les paul, not thin like an Ibanez RG. All in all this is a great first guitar and a great extra guitar to have. This guitar does not look cheap or sound cheap. For someone looking for a Les Paul style guitar at an affordable price, this is one to look at.
this is a pretty good guitar i bought it last year at my local guitar shop, it seems to be built good has a good feel to it. the body is fairly light and has a great finish. the neck is smooth and easy to play. the pickups, are suprisingly not bad, and u would be suprised at how much of a (G N R sweet child of mine) sound u can get with them. but u can't really get a lot of different sounds other than that. this is a good first guitar. if ur looking for a decent sounding, looking, guitar(that will last awhile) for not a huge price u might be interseted in this. but if ur a more intermediate player, save ur money for somthing else. cuz this guitar has it's limits.
