I can see myself playing this guitar for many years. It is a very comfortable size acoustic guitar. The cutout makes it easy to get to the higher frets. The smaller neck size is perfect for someone with smaller hands or someone older like me who doesn't have as much flexibility in his hands.

I do wish it had been through a better setup process so I didn't have to play around trying to get rid of some fret buzzing. That is better now, but the action is a little high to compensate.
The built-in tuner is awesome. I compared it to a good quality external tuner and it was dead on. Having it right there all the time is great, especially for someone who is just learning to play.

When connected to an amp this guitar sounds so beautifully clean. I wasn't getting any feedback issues and didn't need to utilize the phaser option. The equilizer worked great.
Very nice glossy black finish. All of the seems were tight and even. I did have to tighten some of the hardware (tuner nuts, some loose screws) which may have become loose during shipping.

Overall quality is very good for the cost.
This is a lot of guitar for the money. Wonderful full sound.

I borrowed it from a friend just for a weekend and I was very disappointed with it. The sound is muted, no sustain and no projection at all. Plugged it sounded just a bit better with a lot of tweaking and using a 10 band equalizer. The action was very high even for a seasoned player. The guitar looks nice though and the paint job is excellent but that doesn't help. There are many other choices that sounds better and even cheaper.Maybe by replacing the plastic nut and saddle with ones made out of bone the guitar will sound better. Also lowering the action will definitely make it easier to play.

The guitar will not stay in tune, and once you get it tuned, the first position will not match the second and third position. The neck could be a problem, I'm not sure, but it's very upsetting to me.

        Good Experience

        By JonnyZ

Comments about Ibanez AEG10E Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I've played a Jasmine by Takmine S35 for four years. Honestly, any guitar is an upgrade from that, but I love this guitar! I went to a local guitar shop with a friend who was buying a new guitar. As he was shopping around, I picked up the AEG10E and started playing. I liked it so much I decided to buy it from here (it was slightly cheaper). I'm not too serious of a player, but if you're playing a cheap guitar like I was, you will fall in love with this thing for two reasons 1) The action is low. Some have said their's buzzed. If that's the case, go to a shop and have them adjust it. 2) It has much better sound. My friend even commented positivey on its sound.

Yes, yes, the tone may not be as good as a thicker guitar, but for its size, it is great! I rarely plug in, but it is true that it sounds even better plugged in. Unplugged is by no means bad though. Can I compare its sound to my friend's Martin? I wouldn't go that far, but I'd say at the least, it is definately worth every penny spent. Go to a guitar shop, see if you like it! It's worth checking out at least.

Oh, and I got the black. It's great! I've seen the sunburst too, and it's pretty sweet also!

        amazing
i had had it for about a month and everything works great, it has a thinner body sdo it's really easy to play and sounds great, the tuner and pickups work great, and the sunburst color is beautiful - i can't speak for the durability since i haven't had it that long, it's came strung w/ di'addario's and they sound amazing.

        Nice for the Price

        By Robert Forbes

        from Doylestown, PA

Comments about Ibanez AEG10E Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This is a nice looking guitar at a reasonable price. I like the size of the body of the guitar. My other acoustic is a dreadnought and at times feels a little bulky. This one is more comfortable to handle. My only thing I don't love is that the action is a little higher than I would prefer.
The automatic tuner is accurate, and the Pick-up sounds good when plugged in.
Nice quality for the money! The black finish looks great, and the abalone inlay is a nice touch.
This guitar play great for the price. It looks like a much more expensive guitar than it actually is.

        BEST guitar for the money

        By CullenT

        from Andover, MN

Comments about Ibanez AEG10E Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I was a skeptic about Ibanez acoustics. A friend had one about 10 years ago and I thought it was a joke of a guitar. Flimsy materials and quacky electronics. NOT SO with this gem! The small, shallow cutaway body means that there isn't much bass response, but the tone is still lively and pleasant with plenty of volume without sounding flat or tinny like other laminate top acoustics. I wish it had a solid top - that's my one regret - but for the price, I'm not complaining. The tuning machines are excellent - very smooth motion and they really hold tune. There are some blemishes in the binding, but again, I'm not complaining with a guitar that plays well and sounds good at this price point. The best feature is the electronics. The Fishman pickup is great. The Ibanez SST preamp produces a warm, rich sound; and when you're playing through a system, that's that matters a lot more than the acoustic tone anyway. It sounds as good plugged in as a guitar five times the price. The tuner is spot on. A great beginner guitar that will last you for years and years and that you'll keep around forever.

        love this guitar

        By Anonymous

        from Undisclosed

Comments about Ibanez AEG10E Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have had this guitar for two years and have never had a problem with it. The action tends to be kind of high, but other than that, the sound quality is great. Its perfect for me because i have small fingers. I love the sound quality. I have a gloss black one; the only thing I don't like about the black is that my fingerprints are clearly visible on it. But I polish it regularly so it hasn't been a problem. Over all, I love this guitar and would recommend it to people who are just starting to play AND for tiny, short people like me!

Comments about Ibanez AEG10E Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Just got it today, already gave it a full run-through! Really good, the tuner works like a charm, used it the second I picked it up and worked to perfection. The only thing that is slightly odd, notice, I said ODD, not bad, is the position of the strap knob. Kinda weird. But it's definitely amazing. buy it!
