This guitar is a great find for such a low price. Plays extremely well. Pickups are great aand electronics are fab too except for one thing and this could be due to outside forces.I have used this guitar a couple of times live and this past show the onboard tuner was not tuning to what it said it was tuning to. Not sure if it was picking up outside noises or what. It wouldn't stay in tune either. I ahd to tune after every other strum basically. And using a capo didnt help either. You really have to retune after using a capo. It got so bad, my lead player took over the tuning and had to tune it up a half step or so to match the real tunung. Quite embarrassing but it could be becaus eof the cold weather and new strings etc. Cool gadget to have on your guitar but watch out for these little discrepancies.

Bottom Feeder

You can't expect much more for the money. Once you get this out the box, you'll have to adjust the truss rod to get the strings down, as they are HIGH. Then plan on changing the chepy tuning heads to schallers or grovers, these just blow.

Great Guitar

By RGCGFMT-nzulp

from Great Falls, MT

After reading several good reviews about this guitar, I decided to order one myself. Being left-handed, my choices are somewhat limited, but this guitar seemed like a decent compromise between features and price. All I can say is that it was worth every penny. The guitar looks, sounds and plays absolutely great. Though the action may be a little on the high side out of the box for some, this can easily be corrected with some careful filing of the bridge saddle and adjusting of the truss rod, though you may want to have a qualified tech do this for you.The electronics sound superb. Recording direct via the XLR output (to a Presonus Firestudio) sounds astonishingly good considering the very reasonable price paid.I can wholeheartedly recommend the Ibanez AEL10LE as an excellent value for left-handed guitarists.

GREAT PRICE AND GREAT SOUND

By DesireBros22

from Georgia

I am a musician that owns one or two high class instruments. I have to say this is an acoustic that sounds great and plus it is at a cheap price. I haven't had to change the string and the tone of them are still phenomenal. Another great feature is that it has the built in tuner that is very helpful when you don't have one with you at the moment. If you are looking for a cheap guitar that has great tone, sound, and playability than this is the guitar for you.

Nice Features, Not So Great Playability

By Max-ckFDH

from Pennsylvania

I had gottten this guitar about a half a year back and is is still playing fine. It has a nice gloss black finish but unfortunatelty makes dust and light scratches obvious. It has good tone but doesnt have a completely "Full" sound. The pickup is good and the built in tone features are nice to tweak. The guitar stays in tune quite well and the onboard tuner is great and is a vital feature for me because im always going into different tunings. It holds strange tunings quite well, to. But some negative things about this guitar are that the action is VERY HIGH and kills my fingers after playing my electric. Also, the fingerboard is not very smooth, and doesn't have that buttery movement that most necks have. But its made in China, so yeah.

I have owned this same model for a few years now and can say that it is hands-down the best acoustic I have ever owned. I have played a lot of other brands but I'm sticking with Ibanez for life. My right-handed friends love this gutiar so much they play it upside down!

TONE TONE TONE!!!

By Jayman-h.Obh

from silver grove, KY

This guitar is totally a great value.... The action was outstanding and the volume out of the extra large sound hole is unbelievable!! The binding is flawless and the mother of pearl accent around the sound hole is really great looking.I looked at a similar Takamine model and was blown away by the sound quality of this Ibanez model. The on board pre amp is great and it has an onboard tuner to boot. It also has the choice of 1/4" or balanced XLR outputs (this is way cool). I play professionally and am proud to ad this axe to my arsenal.

Bang for your buck!

By GWC1955-ELwvQ

from Kentucky

To begin with, I'm not a professional but a novice player, I have been for 30+ years, I own six guitars, 2 soild body electics, one hollow body electic, 2 acoustics and now this Ibanez acoustic/electric so I do know a little about guitars. This one is sweet, could use a different type string for more ring but when plugged into my Behringer Ultra Twin on the clean channel it sounds really sweet, turn on the gain and it'll rock. The action isn't bad but like all guitars a good Smithie can make it even better.Again, Bang For Your Bucks. I think it's a really sweet guitar for the money.

This One Is For Real

By KBlood

from Illinois

I bought this guitar about five months ago and decided to try and start playing. Its amazing. I have really come a long way on this guitar and I play in a worship band for my church. I get compliments all the time on how my guitar sounds and looks. And the on-board tuner really comes in handy when on stage. All in all its great. I started out on it and I figure I'll still have it years down the road. Good Left Handed guitars are hard to come by but I truly recommend it to all those who are just starting out.
