    Returning....but only due to aesthetics.

Comments about Ibanez AGR70 Hollowbody Electric Guitar:

This is the 3rd Artcore I have owned. There are couple of things that were not as described in the listing here, and also on the Ibanez website. First the description says this is a fixed bridge. Unless it is mouted with velcro or something, this is a floating bridge that sits on a piece of wood, as is typical for this style of hollow body guitar. The deal breaker for me was that the binding on the neck is white, but the body is triple bound in cream. So you have a joint where the white and cream binding are meeting. This looks very tacky and cheap to me, but admitted it is a purely cosmetic issue. Just wanted to make others aware of this who were considering this guitar.

The quality is in line with other guitars in the Artcore line... by that I mean very good for the money or otherwise. Guitar was set up well and intonated perfectly out of the box. I own a Rickenbacker, Gretsch and Gibson and these Ibanez guitars play very well in comparison. The issue I normally have with the Artcores are the terrible ceramic pickups they usually come with. I was very surprised with these Mini Humbuckers - they are a big improvement to my ear, even though they are still ceramic. The bridge pickup has a lot of top end sparkle and both pickups have a lot of clarity. It's definitely a step in the right direction. I've played the AGR73 as well and it was much better looking cosmetically. Both guitars sounded quite good.

    KInda Disappointed

Comments about Ibanez AGR70 Hollowbody Electric Guitar:

I Had Been looking at this Guitar for a while, researching it checking out the specs. It plays like a dream, unlike most hollow bodies its neck slim and easy to play. Its tone is great. But if you are intending to play this guitar in a rock band I would recommend something else. You can not play loud with out getting ridiculous amounts of feed back. I love the looks of this guitar there aren't any that look as nice as it but unfortunately I am in a Rock band and the feed back is to much for me.
