Like the look of natural guitars. If they suck but still look good I just hang them around the house. Anyway this does not suck and came set up pretty well from the factory. This is the second Ibanez I have bought over the years and is much better than I could have ever expected for the money. Active pickups are super hot. Action is nice but I will be bringing it in for a setup. Quality of finish is spectacular for a guitar in this price range. All in all an outstanding value.
I've been playing over 30 years. I play blues, classic rock, and metal. This guitar is a great value. I stumbled across it accidentally but since it's being clearanced at a great price I pulled the trigger. I worried the active pickups would be too active (you know what I mean) but they're not. They have singing sustain but aren't harsh. Very smooth. The finish, BTW, looks far better in person than on this stock photo. It's darker and deeper. Really rich looking. The setup was very good out of the box and this neck is very playable. I'd recommend getting one of these before they're gone.
I've always been a huge fan of Ibanez since I first tried out an RG Prestige. I didn't think it could get any better. WRONG! This is the absolute best Ibanez ever! No, best guitar period. I've wanted Les Paul looks, but never liked LP's that much except ones that Bill Gates couldn't buy. I've plugged this guitar into everything from A Line6 whatever to a Blues Deville to a Vintage Modern. And no matter what it's going through, it just plain sings. The sustain on it is definitely not what god intended wood to do. Dang. Overall, GET IT! I know I will soon!
I have owned my Ibenez 400 about a month now. Out of the box, I was delighted with the finish and really nice condition of the guitar. I tuned it and immediately started playing. I am impressed with how easy it is. The factory strings are easy on my fingers, the pickups have nice tone and the sustain is great. My practice sessions have expanded double with this guitar. It is a truly beautiful instrument.I am a beginner to guitar and was playing a Telecaster. I thought it was good, but pick up the Ibenez to practice and play. The Ibenez is the guitar I take to my lessons. The guy teadhing me has played professionally over 40 years and says the Ibenez has a very nice sound.I reccomend the ART400 to anyone.
