I played this for a few minutes at the local music store and I fell in love with it. 2 days before that I had played another Ibanez artcore very similar to this one but I liked this one a little more. I think the body was a little smaller which I like because it holds well when sitting and is very, very versatile. I played it with some serious metal effects and it sounded great then I put it on clean and it was still amazing. This is one of the best guitars out of hundreds that I've ever used.
This guitar is a must have. It's fantastic for blues, while still giving you a good rock n' roll, jazz, or other style capability. The action on it is as comfortable as any other guitar I've played before, as well.
You guys have got to buy this guitar today if your looking for a good all-around guitar. I've been playing for a good 10 years and this is THE MOST usable guitar I've ever owned.
Now I got this guitar not knowing the full capabilities of it. After experimentation I found this to be an amazing guitar! It's fairly lightweight, easy to play, and the double cutaway provides for maximum reach to lower frets. With proper distortion and tuning this thing can play anything! Ever heard metal from a hollow body? Its insane. buy it!
This is really a fine guitar. Absolutely oustanding on finish and trim. You can tell these guitars were crafted by someone desiring top-notch quality. Smooth finish all the way around.Of course, the most important thing is how the guitar plays and sounds. I like the action, though I will admit I'm now more used to my Strats and SG's and have to adjust a bit when I pick this back up. Cool quick change stop tailpiece, decent tuners and bridge make for a sweet sound. The pickups are good, but not great. I do like the pickups on my Epiphone SG Custom a bit better but then the guitars are built for two different purposes. This one sounds best through a real tube amp. Also I'd restring it with D'Addario 10's.Wishes? Well with the gorgeous Transparent Brown finish here's what I'd like to see: Change out the tuners (if they're not 18:1 Grovers, then they should be) to gold, go with a gold quick-change stop tailpiece / bridge, go for something like a hotter gold Epiphone P490/498-style pickup(s), keep the black speed knobs, gold jack and finally a gold switch. I may have to build this one myself.Overall this is a very fine value for the price and I think you'll be very happy with this purchase.
Bought this guitar from a music store that was closing on impulse. The thing rocks! The tone is outstanding, it's extremely easy to fret, and the action is great. It surpasses my classic les paul for pure sound. Gotta say it is the best guitar I own.
I've played lots of guitars, and this one really stands out as far as great quality for the price. The action is excellent and you can get a really good sound!
Went down to a local place called Area Records in Geneva NY. Very nice guitar. It has a wider neck than my other guitar (Squier bullet)*shivers*. Anyway, great guitar, go out and get yourself one.
Ibanez never fails to deliver - with the artcore series you get your money's worth, the humbuckers stay true with any kind of playing style. Great deal if you can snag one of the ARTCORE series from Ibanez!
Hello, I picked this little beauty up last week. She is guitar #12 ;-)and let me tell you, she plays like a dream. The neck is slim and fast the body is comfortable. The tone is fine, its not a Gibson, But its a great little Guitar for the price! Pick one up and try it out.
