OVERVIEW

An acoustic-electric with classic looks and modern luxuries.

Embrace traditional and modern at the same time with the Ibanez AW300 Artwood Series acoustic-electric guitar. Technology moves forward at a dizzying pace and the world of guitar craftsmanship is no different. In their search for the ultimate guitar tone Ibanez gave a modern twist to one of the traditional dreadnought body.

The Ibanez AW300 Artwood Series acoustic guitar features a bone saddle on a distinctively contoured bridge and a bone nut to deliver a well-balanced sound. The Ibanez SST Shape Shifter preamp with onboard tuner enables easy sonic manipulation using the 3-band EQ and tone shaper, so any contour is right at your fingertips. The SST also offers a phase reverse for feedback reduction. In addition to the 1/4" output jack, a balanced XLR jack is included for direct connection to the PA system.

Comments about Ibanez Artwood Series AW300ECE Solid Top Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I started playing this guitar right out of the box. The action is a little high but certainly okay. Gives me time to get it tweeked later. The strings are very good also.
When I ordered the guitar the only deal was in the cherry sunburst which I thought looked rather childish, but after seeing it I love the color. I can not believe the sound! The bass doesn't come in as clear as some of my other guitars but maybe that is my problem (I am half deaf after all) We hooked the guitar into a Behringer Amp and it sounded perfect! This guitar is perfect for a beginner since it is easy to play. Barreing is easy. It is perfect for me as a beginning intermediate player for strumming and my scale practicing.
I can not think of a single negative for this guitar even if it were priced at the manufacturer's suggested retail.

Comments about Ibanez Artwood Series AW300ECE Solid Top Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I was warned that this red sunburst was red before I ordered. It's definitely red. But, the color isn't that big a deal after you start playing.
The frets needed a bit of edge filing but otherwise, all of this guitar is just fine and dandy. The setup and intonation is well done. Chrome Grover tuners are a plus, as is the bone nut and saddle. It really does have a solid top. And the sound is fine (I'll change the strings out though because they are weak).
All-in-all, I'm pleased with the overall value verses the low price. I didn't expect much for the price so I'm very, very pleased overall. And, this arrived in two business days! This was going to be a knock around guitar but will now be featured at many gigs. Besides, the color is flashy and deserves a few jabs for comic relief.
Yes, worth every penny. Musician's Friend does it again.

Good cutaway, frets very nicely, and is smooth as you move up the neck.

Comments about Ibanez Artwood Series AW300ECE Solid Top Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

been playing for deceades w bands and solo. needed to replace an acoustic electric..watched this one..price got too good to disregard. great guitar for the money. true up the neck, stays in tune, easy playing... easy to incorporate lead licks with the rhythm (size of the neck is great). I've owned Mosrite (in the 60's), Yamaha, Gibson les paul, epiphone les paul, hagstrom (many years ago)... i'm comfortable with this Ibanez for my needs right now... and know if I have any concerns musicians friend will make it right. have had this Ibanez for about a week.. did several months of watching and researching it... gave it extended play today.. totally pleased. might not match up to a much more expensive guitar, but for the money this one's worth getting. (the size of this guitar is great)
