Ibanez ARX320

Comments about Ibanez ARX320 Artist Electric Guitar:

Ibanez makes good Guitars I have 7 of them. My order arrive in about 4 days. I though that was fast enough for free shipping.

Fine Axe

By Jeffrey Rice

Comments about Ibanez ARX320 Artist Electric Guitar:

The Ibanez Artist is light, it's fast, it's extremely resonant, and it sustains for days. My ONLY problem with it is that the fret material seems a little cheesey. ALL foreign guitars seem to use a soft material in their frets that feels a bit "scratchy" if you do a lot of bending / vibrato. But, they seem to smooth out a bit over time, so I can certainly live with it for the money!
I bought the Ibanez Artist to replace a Les Paul Double Cut, which I had to sell during tough times. I am a Gibson man, to be honest. So then....the reasons I bought this - A. Mahogany warmth B. Short scale length C. Hard tail piece (no whammy). This guitar fit the bill just right, and I have to say that I love it! The Gibraltar bridge takes a little getting used to, but once you do, you will absolutely love it. The sustain it offers pretty much blows everthing else out of the water, Gibsons included.
Great quality level! I don't see a single fault or blemish. I love the body style, and the double cut look of the Artist. Some very slight adjustments, and this thing will kick ALL of their butts.
Times have changed, and you have to go with what you can afford, and the ARX 320 is a killer value! I wouldn't mind seeing some locking tuners, but that would just add to the expense of the guitar. They can always be added down the road.

Versatile guitar for amazing price

By DShaw77

Comments about Ibanez ARX320 Artist Electric Guitar:

Having sold a Gibson LP Custom and a Studio years back (deep regrets), I wanted a mahogany/humbucker combo. Since my budget was much lower than when living at home in my teens, I took a gamble on something off-shore. How American-made instruments at $2600+ can compete with Ibanez, I'll never know. The neck is thin but round (SG-ish), perfectly finished, not sticky like a Gibson, and it supports low action. No glue around the markers, no protruding fret edges, and nicely finished binding. The body is light, but still very warm in tone. Ibanez kept it to two pieces, as opposed to "cheaping out" with a "pancake" body. I found the pickups to be a little too hot (not noisy, though), but lowering the height was an easy fix. It now has a more natural, woody tone. The top is nicely figured, albeit not as attractive as, say, a Carvin. It's also not as over-the-top flashy and cheap looking as some Schecters and LTD's. My only small gripe would be the plastic nut, but that's easily replaced. I own or have owned many of the more expensive instruments out there (Amer. Fenders, Gibsons, Carvins, Rickenbackers, etc.), and have played for 22 years. I know I won't convince someone in the market for a new PRS to look here, but to everyone else: please don't overlook this astonishing value!

Great looking and sounding

By Bronzdrag0n

Comments about Ibanez ARX320 Artist Electric Guitar:

I ordered this guitar through the local music shop in 2007. When it came in, I have to tell you that it was better looking then the pictures on the internet depict. The finish is beautiful. The neck is thin and fat compared to a strat (which is what I played before I got this.)The neck is nice looking with the inlays and smooth. It has a fast action and double cut-aways for access to the lower frets.I couldn't argue with the quality of any part of this guitar for the money spent. The tuners are quality enclosed type. All the hardware is nice polished chrome and not plated plastic. The knobs are plastic, but good and solid and nothing has given me a problem in the last 2 years. The humbuckers have a sound all Ibanez. I think it's a little fatter compared to a standard body, probably just because of the body size and shape. When I orignally bought this, I was going to change out the pups for a different brand. However, after playing it for awhile, the sound kinda grew on me. It actually didn't take long to find a good sound on this guitar.I'd have to say, that this is a good addition to anyone's collection...from a beginner, to a collector that likes good quality guitars.I'm sorry to see that they've discontinued this color, though.

Judge a Book by its Cover.

Comments about Ibanez ARX320 Artist Electric Guitar:

I was at a local music shop when I decided to take a guitar down. Once I got past the expensive Gibsons and Fenders, this immediately caught my eye, with the beautiful top and diamond inlays. My brother was with me and we started to jam. He had a Gibson Les Paul. I was really suprised with how great this sounded compared to the LP. The sustain was great, and it had a nice "crunch" to the sound. I didn't have the money at the time, but this will be my next guitar.

Versatile great sound solidbody

By Mark K.

from Rhode Island

Comments about Ibanez ARX320 Artist Electric Guitar:

What a deal for! This guitar is ready to play right out of the box. The pickups are quality, sustain is great , tone is super. The 3 position switch gives 3 distinct tones. The guitar is solid in all respects, the attention to detail is very good. The finish is very clean and the look is great. The only negative if you're inclined is the lack of a whammy bar. Otherwise for the price you'd have to pay at least double to get a guitar like this. Kudos Ibanez !!!
